(The temple  for this Goddess  is in a village  called  Sannathi  village  in Gulbarga  district  of Karnataka  on the shores of  Bhima river . The Goddess Sri Lakshmi Chandrala Paramesvari, popularly known as Sri Chandralamba, embodies the union of the three cosmic forces or gunas: Satvika, Rajasa, and Tamasa, representing creation (Srishti), sustenance (Sthiti), and destruction (Laya). This symbolism personifies into Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheswara, and their female aspects as Sarasvati, Lakshmi, and Durga.    A preety Chandralamba temple  was bult   in Bangalore DR.S.R.Rao  and his wife  Kamala Rao in Jayanagar banngalore   and was consecrated  in the year  1999,

  There  are  sahasra nama  as well  as Ashtothara  to the Goddess

Possibly for the  first  time  , I have translated  a Stotra  addressed  to her  in English)

 

ॐ प्रणमामि त्वत्पादपङ्कजयुग्मं

गुणातीतविद्याप्रभाविश्वरूपम् ।

मणिकाञ्चनदिव्यसिंहासनस्थे

फणिर्भूषणे (श्री)चन्द्रलाम्बा नमस्ते ॥ १॥

 

Om Pranamami  THwad pada  pakaja yugmam

Gunaatheetha vidhyaa  prabhaa   viswa roopam

Mani  kanchana  dhivya  simhasanasthe

Phanir bhooshane   Sri  Chandralambha namassthe

 

Om I salute your twin  lotus  like  feet

Your mega form with luster  of knowledge  beyond  any properties

Sitting  on a   golden throne   studded   with gems

Salutations   to Chandralamba  devi with   serpent  as decoration

 

निराकारसाकार ॐकारगम्यं

परब्रह्मवस्तुप्रकाशस्वरूपम् ।

परञ्ज्योतिकौमारि कल्याणमूर्तिं

परः शक्ति श्रीचन्द्रलाम्बा नमस्ते ॥ २॥

 

Niraakaara  saakaara  omkara  gamyam

Para  Brahma vasthu  prakasa  swaroopam

Parnjyothi , kaumari Kalyana  murthi

Para   sakthi   Sri  Chandralamba  namosthuthe

 

Without form and with form she  goes towards  om

She is  something   of divine  Brahmam   and has  a shining form

She  has  divine luster , virgin and  has auspecious form

अनध्यासमध्ये मनः ज्ञानशक्ती

सुनाशीर्मुखे मुनिजनास्तोमवन्दे ।

मनःकामनासिद्धिकैवल्यदात्रे

घनानन्द श्रीचन्द्रलाम्बा नमस्ते ॥ ३॥

 

Anadhyaa samadhye mana  jnana  sakthi

Sunaaseer mukhe  muni jana  sthoma  vandhe

Mana kamanaa  sidhi  kaivalya  dathre

Ghanananda  Sri  Chandralambhaa  namasthe

 

In  the middle  of eternal power  , the  power  of wisdom of the mind

Her face  with pretty nose  is  saluted by  crowds  of sages

She   is the  one fulfilling desires  of mind like  occult powers  and   salvation

अपारः प्रभा दिव्यलावण्यगात्रे

अपानर्क सोमार्कवह्नित्रिनेत्रे ।

विपत्कर्मविध्वंसिनि विश्वभद्रे

कृपाम्भोनिधे चन्द्रलाम्बा नमस्ते ॥ ४॥

 

Apaara prabha dhivya  lavanya  gaathre

Apana arka  soma arka vahni  nethre

Vipath karma vidhwamsini  viswa bhadre

Kripambho  nidhe   Chandralamba  namasthe

 

 

She  who is body of divine beauty   with enormous  luster

She who has reached  the sun in lustre with fire  , moon and sun  as her  eyes

She who  shatters acts  leading to danger, She who takes care  of universe

SAlutation to CHandralamba who  is an ocean of mercy

 

गदापाञ्चजन्यं भुजे चक्रपाणी

सदा सुप्रसन्नाश्रित कल्पवल्ली ।

चिदानन्दतत्त्वात्मके योगमूर्ते

त्रिधाशक्ति श्रीचन्द्रलाम्बा नमस्ते ॥ ५॥

 

Gadhaa , pancha janyam   bhuje   Chakra  pani

SAdhaa  suprasannaa  ,aasritha  Kalpa Valli

Chidhhananda thathwa   aathma eke  yoga  murthi

Tridhaa  sakthi, sri  Chandralambha   namasthe

 

She who holds  mace  , conch and  Chakra in her  hands

She who always  has a pleased look, She  who is wish giver  to those who depend on her

She  who is goddess of yoga whose principle is  forever joy  of  the   soul

Salutations  to Chandralambha who has  power  of the trinity

 

जगज्जीवनि सृष्टिनिर्माणकारी

जगद्व्यापिगायत्रि वेदान्तवेद्ये ।

अगम्यप्रतापप्रकाशस्वरूपे

अधारान्नि श्रीचन्द्रलाम्बा नमस्ते ॥ ६॥

 

Jagad  Jeevani  srishti  nirmana kaari

Jagad vyapi  gayathri  vedantha  vedhye

Agamya prathapa prakasa swaroope

Adhaaranni  Sri Chandralambha  namasthe

 

She who creates and makes   all life  in universe

She who is spread  through  out the world , The Gayathri  , she  who has learnt  Vedantha

She has a shining form and has not approachable  fame

SAlutations   to  Chandralamba   who is foundation  of every thing

 

महालक्ष्मि कात्यायनि वेदमातः

महत्त्वादि भूतोदरी भूतनाथे ।

महाकालिके दिव्यमाङ्गल्ययुक्ते

महाराज्ञि श्रीचन्द्रलाम्बा नमस्ते ॥ ७॥

 

Mahalakshmi  , Kathyayani  , veda  Matha

Mahathwaadhi Bhootho dhari  , bhootha  nadhe

Maha  kalike  , Dhivya  mangalya  yukthe

Maha rajni   Sri  Chandralambhaa   Namasthe

 

Oh  Mahalakshmi  , Kathyayni , mother of vedas

Oh  leader  of all beings ho uplifts beings to greatness

Oh   great  Ka;i who has  divine  Mangalya ornament

दिशामध्य देवि कुकुर भीमातटाके ?

प्रसन्ने सदा सन्नती ग्राम ईशे ।

प्रसिद्धादि पीठापुरीक्षेत्रवासे

प्रसन्नादि श्रीचन्द्रलाम्बा नमस्ते ॥ ८॥

 

Dhisaa  madhya  devi  kukura   Bhima thatake

Prasanne  sannathi   grama eese

Prasidhadhi peeta puri kshethra  vaase

Prasannadhi  Sri  Chandralambha  namasthe

 

Oh Godess who is  in the miidle  of  the country  with BHima lake

She who has pleasing look,  the goddess  of Sannathi village

She who lives  famous   temple   of urban seat
