തിരുനെറ്റിയാകെയും സ്വേദ കണം

കവിളത്തു പറ്റി പ്പിടിച്ചു കിടക്കുന്നു

നറു വെണ്ണ തന്നുടെ വെൺ തരികൾ

 

CHithari  therichoru  kunthalam  pottillaa

THiru netriyaakeyum   swedha  kanam

Kavilathu patri pidichu  kidakkunnu

Naru  venna  thannude  ven tharikal

 

The dihavelled  hair thrown  in different  directions

The  drops  of sweat  on his   divine  forehead

The white pieces  of   the good butter  ,

Have  been attached to his cheeks

 

 

ഒന്നുകൂർപ്പിച്ചൊരാ ചുണ്ടിൽ വിരിയുന്ന-

തെന്തൊരു ഭാവം തിരിയുന്നില്ലാ.

മാലകളില്ലാത്ത മാറത്തു തൈർത്തുള്ളി

മണ്ണും കലർന്നു പുരണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.

 

Onnu koorpichoraa  chundil  viriyunnathu

Yenthoru  bhavam     thiruyinnillaa

Malakalillathu  marathu Thayir  thuli

Mannum kalarnnu   purandittundu

 

Not  able  to understand  his emotion

Which  flowers  in his sharp  lips

The chest   without any  garland

Has marks of  mud as  well as drops of curd

 

കോണകം ചുറ്റാത്തരയിലണിഞ്ഞൊരു

മുത്തരഞ്ഞാളിൻ കുടപ്പനതാ

കുഞ്ഞു തുടയിന്മേൽ ചേർന്നു കിടക്കുന്നു

നമ്മൾക്കു കാണുവാനെന്ന പോലെ

 

KOnakam chuthaatha  arayil  aninjoru

Mutha  aranjaalin  kudappan   athaa

Kunju  thudayin mel  chernnu  kidakkunnu

Nammalkku kaanuvaan  yenna  poale

 

The tie  of the  pearl laced   tie , on ,

His hips  where  no loin cloth is worn

Is lying close   to his baby   thighs,

AS it  for  us  to see

 

പൊന്നിൻ ചിലമ്പണി പാദങ്ങൾ രണ്ടിലും

മണ്ണാണതു പോലെ പറ്റി നിൽക്കാൻ

ഒരു ജന്മം തന്നാലതു തന്നെ പുണ്യമാം

ഉണ്ണിക്കാൽ നോക്കി തൊഴുതിടുന്നേൻ

 

Ponnin  chilambu ani paadhangal   randilum

Mannanu  athu  poale  pathri  nilkkan

Oru  janmam  thannal   athu  punyamaam

Unni  kaal  nokki  thozhuthidunnen

 

On both his feet  wearing  golden anklets

Is the  mud   which was attached  and is there

If you  give  me one birth  , it would  be greatly  blessed

Because  I will see those  baby  legs  and salute them

 

പ്രേമപാശത്താൽ യശോദാമ്മ ബന്ധിച്ച

കോമള വിഗ്രഹം നോക്കി നിൽക്കെ

എല്ലാം മറന്നു ഞാൻ നാമം ജപിക്കുന്നു

ദാമോദരാ ഹരേ മാരുതേശാ!

 

Prema  paasathaal  Yasodhamma  bandhicha

KOmala vigraham  nokki  nillke

Yellam marannu  jnaan nammam  japikkunnu

Damodharaa  hare Maruthesaa

 

When I see that pretty  baby  form ,

Tied  by the rope  of love   by his  Yasodha mother

I forget  every  thing   and chant  his names\

Oh Damodhara , oh  Hari,  oh  Guruvayurappa

 

നാമങ്ങളൊക്കെയും ദാമങ്ങളാക്കി ഞാൻ

ദാമോദരാ നിന്നെ ബന്ധിക്കട്ടെ

ബന്ധങ്ങളെല്ലാം വെടിഞ്ഞു ഞാൻ പോവുമ്പോൾ

ബന്ധുവായ് നീയെന്റെ കൂടെ വേണം.

பெயர்களை எல்லாம் கயர்கள் ஆக்கி

உன்னை கெட்டி போடட்டுமா

பிடிப்புகள் எல்லாம் விட்டு , நான் போகும் போது

உறவினராய் என்னுடன் நீ வர வேண்டும் ,

சின்ன உரலில் அம்மா கெட்டி போட்ட ,

தாமோதரனை நான் பார்க்க வேண்டும்

கலைந்த உன் தலை பல பக்கம் போக

வியர்வையின் துளிகள் உன் நெற்றியை அலங்கரிக்க ,

வெண்ணெயின் வெள்ளை துண்டுகள் உன் ,

கன்னத்தை அலமகரிக்கிறது

உன் சுண்டுகள் கூர்மையாய் நீ ,

வைக்கும் காரணம் புரியவில்லை ,

மாலையில்லா உன் மார்பிடத்தில் ,

தயிர் துளிக்கும் மண்ணும் இடம் ஏன் கொடுத்தாய் நீ

கோமணம் கட்டா உன் அரையில் , ஏன் ,

முத்து அரையாண நூல் உன் சிறு ,

துடையில் சேர்ந்து இருக்கிறது

எங்கள் கண்ணில் படவா ?

உன் இரு சிறு கால்களிலும்

பொன் கொலுசுகள் மேல் மண் ,

எனக்கு ஒரு பிறவி கொடுத்தால், அது புண்யம் ,

உன் குழந்தை கால்களை வணங்குகின்றேன்

ஆசை கையரினால் , அம்மா யசோதா கட்டிட்ட ,

அழகு சொகுசு பாப்பாவை நான் பார்த்து நிற்க்க ,

அனைத்தும் மறந்து நான் உருவிடுகிறேன்

தாமோதர ஹரே குருவாயூரப்பா

உன் பெயர்களை கயிர்களாக்கி ,நான் ,

தாமோதர உன்னை கட்டட்டுமா ,

உறவுகள் எல்லாம் விட்டு நான் போகும் பொது

உறவினராயி நீ என்னுடன் இருக்க வேண்டும்

The prayer  of twelve  names  of  goddess Sita

       श्रीजनक उवाच ।

       श्रुतं नाम सहस्रं मे ह्यष्टोत्तरशतं तथा ।

       इदानीं श्रोतुमिच्छामि द्वादशं लोकविश्रुतम्  .1

 

SRi  Janaka uvacha

Srutham  nama  sahasram may,hyashtotharam thadhaa

Idhaneem  Srothum  Ichami   Dwadasam  loka  Vishrutham

 

Janaka  said:-

I have  heardv  thousand names  as well  as  one hundred and eight  names

And now  I  desire you to tell  the world  famous   twelve  names

 

 

       यदि श्रोतुं तदर्होऽस्मि भवद्भिः कृपयोच्यताम् ।

       अक्लेशं परमोदाराः सिद्धा ! कृपणवत्सलाः ॥.2

 

Yadhi  srothum   thadha  arhosmi Bhavabdhi  kripayo achyathaam

Aklesam  paramodharaa sidhaa, kripana  vathsalaa

 

If  I am suitable to hear it, oh great ones who have crossed  ocean of life,

Without  difficulty , oh  great  Sidhas, please  take  mercy  and  tell your dear  one

 

 

       श्रीअन्तरिक्ष उवाच -

       मैथिली जानकी सीता वैदेही जनकात्मजा ।

       कृपापीयूषजलधिः प्रियार्हा रामवल्लभा 3

 

Sri  Anthareeksh  Uvacha

Maithili  , Janaki , Seethaa  ,  Vaidehi  , Janakathmajaa

Kripa  peeyusha  jaladhi, priyarha , Rama  Vallabha

 

Holy  Sage  Anthareeksha (atmosphere) said:-

The  princess  of Mithila, Janaka’s daughter,She who was found from furrow , princess  of Videha , the  daughter of janaka

The  ocean of nectar  of mercy, She  who is fit  to be loved, The wife of Rama

 

       सुनयनासुता वीर्यशुल्काऽयोनी रसोद्भवा ।

       द्वादशैतानि नामानि वाञ्छितार्थप्रदानि हि 4

 

Sunayanaa  suthaa veerya  sulkaa,   ayoni , rasodhbhavaa

Dwasaithaani  naamaani  Vanchithartha pradhani hi

 

The  daughter  of Sunayanaa, She who was  got in return to valour , She who was  not born from Womb, She  who was born  out of her  interest

These are  the twelve names   as per yor desire

 

       श्रीजनक उवाच ।

       अहोऽहं परमो धन्यो धन्यधन्यो धरातले ।

       सुताभावेन मां नित्यं नन्दयत्यखिलेश्वरी 5

 

Sri  Janaka  Uvacha

Arhoham  paramo , dhanyo  , dhanya  dhanyo  Dharaathale

Suthaa  bhavena maam  nithyam nandayathya   akhileswari

 

I am divinely fit  , blessed, blessed among those blessed in this earth

I  daily looked after  her, who is  goddess  of the world   like  my daughter

 

 

       यस्याः सम्बन्धमात्रेण त्रिलोक्यां सर्वभूभृताम् ।

       यतीनां योगिवर्याणां सिद्धानां सुमहात्मनाम् ॥6

 

Yasyaa  sambandha  maathrena trilokyaam  Sarva  bhoobruthaam

Yatheenaam  , Yogi  varyaanam  , Sidhaanaam, sumahathmanaam

 

Just due   to relation with her, I became  king of three worlds

A saint, great yogi, sidha   and a very   great  soul

 

       महाभागवतानां च मुनीनां त्रिदिवौकसाम् ।

       पूज्यपूज्यप्रपूज्यानां ब्रह्मविष्णुपिनाकिनाम् 7

 

Maha  bhagawathaanam  cha  muneenaam  tridivaikasaam

Poojya  poojya  prapoojyaanaam , Brahma  vishnu  pinakinaam

 

Well learned and    sages  , Most  important  person of three worlds

Suitable  for worship, Most suitable for worship , the holy  trinity  of Brahma , Shiva and Vishnu

 

       सर्वेषां दुर्लभाप्तीनामादरेक्षणभाजनम् ।

       अहमस्मि विशेषेण स्वल्पभूमिपतिः पुमान् 9

 

Sarveshaam  durlabhptheenaam  aadhare kshana  bhajanam

Aham asmi  viseshena swalpa   bhoomi pathi pumaan

 

He who within a second  makes avialable all which  are difficult to get

But I a  specially a small  king  having  a small kingdom

 

इति श्रीजानकीचरितामृतान्तर्गतं श्रीजानकी द्वादशनामस्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम् ।

Ithi  Sri Janaki  charitham  anthargatham Sri Janaki   Dwadasa  nama  stotram  sampoornam

 

THus ends the  twelve names  of Janaki  which in the nectar like  history of Janaki

Om  Namo  Narayanays

If we  think the Ashtakshara  manthra(Om namo  narayanaaya) in the mind and chant it one hundred times, , even if you have done  five great sins, They  will fly away  like  cotton(  A great Sidha calledShiva vakkiyar)

 

Om Namo narayanaya  (Om –one letter  , namo-2 letters and  Narayanaya  (5 letterds) together 8 letters and so it is called  “Narayana ashtakshara),If we chant it continuosly  our life span will increase, all dangers would go away, Evils and sorrow  will not follow you,, Your attractiveness of face  will increase and You will  get all types of wealth

 

 He who tells it in the morning destroys all sins committed by him at night,He who tells in the evening destroys all sins committed  during day time,He  who tells it at noon, get rids of five great sins as well as subsidiary  sins,He will get the punya  got by reading all  the Vedas(Narayana Upanishad)

 

It grants all  your desires, and once you cross  it

Give you  comfortable salvation  , give   you  .

The  great benefit  of doing  a fire sacrifice, It is  one person’s name

Hear that name-  Om  namo  naraanaya

Sidhas  give simple  explanation to “Narayana”

Na(toungue in tamil) Ra( that  which stops good not to go out from inside and not allow.

Eveil effects  from going inside) , yaa (yaar-who)  anan (he who enjoys

Summarising it, Narayana  makes you tell  good things by your toungue  and do only good

(Kuzhal uravu thyagi)

യൊരുനോക്കു നോക്കണേ, തമ്പുരാനേ !

ദുരിതങ്ങളെല്ലാമേ ദൂരത്തകറ്റണേ

തരണമേ നിൻ ഭക്തിയെന്നുമെന്നും

ഹരിഹരനന്ദന ! ശരണമെന്നയ്യപ്പാ !

തരികൊരു ദർശനം ശരണമയ്യപ്പാ !

 

Iru mudi  kettumai  vannoradiyane

Oru  nokku  nokkane   thamburane

Durithangal  yellame Dooraththu  agathane

Tharaname  nin  bakthi   yennum   yennum

Hari  hara  nandana , Saranam    yende  Ayyappa

THarika oru  darasanam    Saranam   Ayyappa

 

Oh Lord   , please   look at  , once

This slave  who has  come  with two section bundle

Please  remove far away  , all my sufferings

Always and always  give  me  your devotion

Oh son of Vishnu and Shiva, My Ayyappa, I surrender  to you

ദുരിതമാം ആഴിയിൽ നീന്തിത്തുടിച്ചെന്റെ

കരയുഗമേറ്റം കുഴഞ്ഞു പോയി

ഒരു ചെറു തോണിയായ് അരികത്തണഞ്ഞു നീ

കര കേറാനെന്നെ തുണച്ചീടേണം

 ഹരിഹരനന്ദന ! ശരണമെന്നയ്യപ്പാ !

തരികൊരു ദർശനം ശരണമയ്യപ്പാ !

 

Durithamaam   aazhi thannil   neendhi   thudichende

Kara yugam  metham  Kuzhanju  poyi

Oru  cheru  thoniyai  arikathananju  nee

Kara keraan yenne   thunachidenam

Hari  hara  nandana , Saranam    yende  Ayyappa

THarika oru  darasanam    Saranam   Ayyappa

 

Swimming and stuggling  in the  ocean of  Sufferings

Both my hands  have  become   very  weak

Please come near  me  in a small boat

And help me    to climb   to the  shore

Oh son of Vishnu and Shiva, My Ayyappa, I surrender  to you

Please  give me  your darsana(a look at you) , Oh Ayyappa  , I surrender

 

ഹരിഹര നന്ദന തുരഗ വരാസന !

കരുണാ ജലനിധേ !തുംഗ കീർത്തേ

അറിയാതറിഞ്ഞും ഞാൻ ചെയ്‌തോരു പാപങ്ങൾ -

ക്കറുതി വരുത്തി വരം തരേണം

ഹരിഹരനന്ദന ! ശരണമെന്നയ്യപ്പാ !

തരികൊരു ദർശനം ശരണമയ്യപ്പാ !

 

Harihara  nandana  , thuraga  varasanaa

Karuna jala nidhe, Thunga  keerthe

Ariyathu  arinjum  jnan   cheithoru  papangalkku

Aruthi  varuthi Varam  tharenam

Hari  hara  nandana , Saranam    yende  Ayyappa

THarika oru  darasanam    Saranam   Ayyappa

 

Oh Son of Vishnu  and Shiva  , he  who rides  on blessed  thought(horse)

Oh ocean like  treasure  of mercy, He who has  mountain like  fame

Please give me a boon  to  an end  the sins   done  by me,

Knowingly  and unknowingly ,

Oh son of Vishnu and Shiva, My Ayyappa, I surrender  to you

Please  give me  your darsana(a look at you) , Oh Ayyappa  , I surrender

 

എന്നുടെ ഹൃദയമാം കമല കുസുമത്തിൽ

വന്നൊരു ഹംസമായ് വാഴേണം നീ

എൻ മനോദാർപ്പണം തന്നിലായ് പതിയേണം

കന്മഷനാശനാം നിൻ സ്വരൂപം.

ഹരിഹരനന്ദന ! ശരണമെന്നയ്യപ്പാ !

തരികൊരു ദർശനം ശരണമയ്യപ്പാ !

 

Yennude  hrudayamaam  Kamala  kusumathil

Vannoru  hamsamaayi   vaazhenam nee

Yen mano  darpanam thannilaayi  pathiyenam

Kanmasha  naasanaam, nin swaroopam

Hari  hara  nandana , Saranam    yende  Ayyappa

In the  lotus like   flower  of my mind

You should come   as a swan  and live

Your form   as the destroyer  of stain and dirt

Should get  printed in the mirror  like heart of mine

Oh son of Vishnu and Shiva, My Ayyappa, I surrender  to you

ശബരിമലയിലെ കോവിലിൽ വാണീടും

ഭകതപ്രിയനേ ദിവ്യ മൂർത്തേ!

തിരുമുഖമാകുന്ന ചന്ദ്രികയാലെന്റെ വഴിയിലെ

ഇരുളകറ്റീടേണം ദേവ ദേവ !.

ഹരിഹരനന്ദന ! ശരണമെന്നയ്യപ്പാ !

തരികൊരു ദർശനം ശരണമയ്യപ്പാ !

 

SAbari  malayile  kovilil   vaaneedum

Baktha  priyane  , dhivya  moorthe

Thirumukham aakunna chandrikayaal   , yende  vazhiyile

Irul   agathidenam deva  deva

Oh  dear  one  of devotees, Oh  divine  God

Who lives  in the temple  of Sabarimala

With  the  moon light   coming   from your divine face,

Please remove   darkness which is on my way ,
