1.Jaya  Sankara santha  sasanka ruche

RuchitharthadhaSarvadha sarva Suche

Suchi datha graheetha mahopa  hruthe

Hrutha  Baktha janodhatha   thapa thathe

 

Hail Shiva who is like  the  peaceful moon

He who not only gives what we like but every thing

The great one wgho accepted  what was  given by Suchi Datha

He who destroys  all worries which   his devootees give

 

2,Thatha sarva hrudambara varadanuthe

Natha vyajina maha  vana  daha  kruthe

Krutha  vividha charithra  thano suthano

Thanu visikha viseshana  dhairya  nidhe

 

He who lives  in the sky  of minds  of all people

He who burns the great forest of worries of his devotees

He  who assumes various pretty  forms.

And the bold one who destroys  the arrows of manmatha (God of love)

 

3.Nidhanaadhi vivarjitha krutha  nathi kruth

Krutha  vihitha  manoradha pannaga buth

Naga barthu sutharppitha vama  vapu

Swa vapu pariporritha sarva jagath

 

He who removes  death of those who salute him

He who wears  the serpent  which fulfills  desire of devotees

He who has  given the left side of his body  to  Parvathy

He who by his form fulfills  need of entire universe

 

4.Trijagan maya roopa sudhu

Gyugu danjana  kinjana krudhrutha buk

Bhava bhootha pathe Pramadhaika pathe

Pathithe shathi datha kara prasruthe

 

He whose  form is the three world . whohas merciful look   on ugly people

He whose greatness  is not limited to vedic manthras addressed to him

Hewho is lord of future and lord  of bhhothas  and pramadhas

He who gives  hand hold  to those who have fallen

 

5.Prasoothakhila bhoothala samvarana

Pranavaddhani soudha sudhamsudara

Giri raja kumarikayaa parayaa

Paritha parithushta, nathosmi  Shiva

 

He who is  spread  all over the universe

He who can be seen through om and  who wears  moons crescent

He who is satisfied  and happy with daughter of king of mountains

To that Shiva  , I am the devotee and offer  salutations

 

6.Shiva deva mahesa, gireesa  vibho,

Vibhava pradha sharva shivesa  myada

Mydayodupathi dhra jagathrithayam

Krutha yanthrana bakthi vighatha krutham

 

Oh shiva , oh God , Oh great God, Oh God of mountain Oh Lord

Oh giver of wealth , god  shiva who walks  majestically

The lord wearing the  moon, Oh good who stops  people

Trying to harm  devotion , please  do good  to all three worlds

 

7.Na kruthanthatha yesha bibheni hara

Praharaasu mamaagama maagha  mathe

Na mathanthara abyamavaimi shivam

Shiva  pada  natha, pranathosmi  thatha

 

Oh Lord Shiva  , I am not scared of God of death,

Please destroy   all the sins  that I have done

I doo not  know  any thingauspicious

Other  than saluting  the feet  of Lord Shiva

 

8.Vithathera jagathyaakhilagha haram

Para thoshanameva param  gunavath

Guna heenam maheena maha  valayam

Laya  pavaka  mesa nathosmi  thatha

 

In the broad three worlds that which destroys all sins

The worship of lord Shiva  is the  most  divine duty,

So I salute him who is above all the good  , who wears

The great serpent s a ring and who is fire at deluge

 

9.Ithi Sthuthwaa Maha devam viramangira  sutha

Vyatharascha Maha deva sthuthyaa thushto varaan bahoon

 

The  son of sage Angiras( Brihaspathi  prayed like  this and stopped

The very pleased  Great God made  him satisfied by givinf him many boons
