1.Jaya  yogeeswara Datha  Dhayalo.

Jagathinai  aakkiya  mooladharaa

 

Hail, merciful Datha  the  God of Yoga

Oh basic creator   of the world.

 

2.Athri, anasooyaa , karuviyai kondai

Jaga  nanmaikkakave  avatharithai

 

You made sage  Athri  and Anasooya  as the  machined

And took incarnation   for   the good of the  world

 

3.Brahma , hari  , haranin  avatharam

Saranagaharkalin  pranadharam

 

You are  incarnation of Brahma, Vishnu  and Shiva

You are the source of support to those who want  to surrender

 

4.Antharyami , sath chith  anandan

Prasanna  sathguru  iru tholudayavan

 

You are one who  makes everything act. One who is truly  and divinely happy

The  good guru who is happy, who has  two shoulders

 

5.Anna pooraniyai  tholil  vaithai

Santhi  , kamandalam  karam yenthinaai

 

You  kept  Annapurani  on your shoulders

You  were peaceful and carried a water pot

 

6.Naalu , aaru , pala  tholudayan

Alavilaa aathaludaya  bhujamudayaan

 

Hyou are one with four, six and many  shoulders

You are one one with hands which has  immesurable   capacity

 

7.Nin charan pugundhen, ariyaa  moodan

Vaarum   digambara, poguthe  pranan

 

I surrendered to you, the fool who  did not know

Please come one who wears  directions, My soul is going away

 

8.Arjunanin thava  kural kettu krutha  yugathile

Akkanme  prasannam   aanaaye

 

In Krutha ion , hearing voice of penance of arjuna

At that moment   you got pleased

 

9.Alavillaa  aanandam, sidhi  alithai

Mudivil  parama  padha  mukthiyum  alithai

 

You gave immesurable joy  and  occult powers

At the end you gave them salvation in divine way

 

9.Indru yenakku  arula  yen intha  thamatham?

Unnai yandri yenakkillai  pugal idam

 

Today why that delay   to bless me

Except you I do not have  and place to go

 

10Vishnu  Sharma bhakthikku  iranginaai\

Avanalitha  sradha  unavu  arunthi rakshithai

 

You  took mercy to the  devotion of  Vishnu Sharma

You took the sradha food he  gave and protected him

 

11.Jamba asuranaal  thollai devarkke

Dhayai  purinthai  nee amarke

 

The trouble  due to jamba asura  was only for devas

You   showered your mecy  on devas

 

12.Mayayai  parappi , thithi suthanai

Indiran karathaal  vadham cheivithai

 

By spreading illusion  , you made Indra’s hand

To cause  death  of son of tHithi

 

13.Alavillaa  leelaikal  purinthaaye

Avathrai  varnikka  iyalumo , Shiva roopane

 

You did carry out many sports,

Is it possible to describe them oh lord with form of shiva

 

14.Nodiyil aayuvin  puthra  sokam  pokkinaai

Maganai  uyirppithu . pathu  athavanaakkinai

 

Within a second you removed  sorrow due   tp son of AAyu

You gave  life to  the son and made  him without  attachments

 

15.Sadhya deva , yadhu  , prahladha , parasuramarukke

Bothithai nee  jnanaopadesame

 

You taught   the Jnana  to  SAdhya  deva , Yadhu,

Prahaladha  and Parasurama

 

16Alavillaa  arul aathal  udayone,

Yen kural kelkka  yen maruthaaye

 

Oh One who had limitless power of blessing,

Why did  you  refuse  to hear  my voice

 

17Un darisanam kaanaamal  nanume,

Iruthi kaanen, vaareer  ikkaname

 

Without   seeing you  , I will not,

See  my death, please come this second

 

18.DFwija sthreeyin anbai  mechinaaye\

Pirnthai  nee   avalin  makanakave

 

Did you  not appreciate  the Brahmin lady ,

And were  born to her  as her son

 

19.smarthugami, kAli yuga  kripalne

Padippariyaa  vannanai  uyvithaaye

 

Oh smarthu gami , the  kind ons of kali age

Did younot make the ignorant  washherman win

 

20. Vayithu valiyal thuditha anthananai  kaathaaye

Vallabhesanai  kayava kalanidamirunthu  kaathaaye

 

Did you not save the Brahmin who  suffered  due  to stomach ache

Did you not save vallabesa  from the rogue  kala  himself

 

21.Yennai pathriya akkarai  unakkillaye

Yennai ninaippai  , oru murai  yenume

 

You do not have any concern  about me

Please  think about  me  at least  once

 

22.ThazhAikka cheithaaye ularntha  patta maram

Yennidam  yen intha  udhaaseenam

 

Did you not make it grow green thr dried tree,

Why this  negflect  only for me

 

23.Muthiya  malattu pennin kanavileye

Chei alithu  poorthi  cheithaaye

 

To the  very old  barren woman, in her  dream itself

You gave a baby and fulfilled her desire

 

24.Anthanin  ven kushtam nekkinaaye

Avan aasaikalai  niraivu   cheithaaye

 

Did you not cure  leucoderma  of a Brahmin

And fulfilled   all his desires

 

25 ,malattu yerumayaye paal   choriya  vaithai

Anthananin daridram  pokkinaai

 

You made a  barren buffalo   rain milk

And removed povery  of a braahmin

 

26.avarakkai  pichayai  yethrai

Anthanukku  thanga  kudam  alithai

 

You accepted  dolichos bean as  alms

And gave the  Brahmin   a golden pot

 

27.Pathi  irantha  pathiniyin  thuyar  thudaithai

Dathan un arulaal, uyirthu yezhunthaan

 

You consoled   a wife whose  husband had died

Datha   due  to your grace  he got up alive

 

28.Koduraa  mun vinayai  pokkinaai

Gangadharanin  makanai  uyirpithai

 

You wiped    away the cruel  past  fate,

You gave life  to son of Gangadhara

 

29Madhonmath pulayanidam   thothanare

Baktha   trivikramarai  rakshithaaye

 

The very huge one got defeated  by a lower caste man

You saved Trivikrama   the devotee

 

30Bhaktha thanthuk  thannishtapadiye

Sri  SAilam    adainthaan   imai  pozhuthinile

 

The devotee Thanthuk as  per his  own wishes

Reached  Sri Saila in time that took to bat the eye

 

31.Oru nerathil  yeduthai  yettu  roopangale

Uruva mathrum  pala roopamudayavane

 

At  one time   you took eight different  forms,
You who are  having a form   as well as many forms

 

32.Darisanam pethru   dhanyamaanaare

AAnandam   adaintha  un bhaktharume

 

He who got to you  became  grearly blessed,

Your devotee   who became   very happy

 

33,Yavana rajan vedanai  thaan neekkinaaye,

Jathi madha  bedham unakkillaye

 

You removed  the pain of Yavana  king

As you   do not have differences in religion asnd caste

 

34, rama  Krishna  avatharangalile

Nee cheitha leelaikal kanakillaye

 

In the incarnation of rama and Krishna,

There is no limit in the sports   you played

 

35.Kal, kanikai, vedam pasu  pakshiyume

Un arulaal   mukthi adainthanare

 

Stone , lady , the forms  of Cow and birds

Due to t your they all got salvation

 

36Namam  naavilum , vesha dhariyum uivaane

Un namam  nalkaatha  nanmai  illaye

 

Even the actor who  tells your name  also will succeed

There is no good that your  name can not give

 

37.Theevinai , pini, thunbam, tholayume

Sivan un namam  smarithaale

 

The bad fate , diseases  and sorrow would go away

If we think about name  of Lord shiva

 

38Billy vasiya  , thanthram  , imsikkathe,

Smaranaye moksham  thanthidume

 

The various methods  of black magic  would not trouble

And just thinking about   him would  get salvation

 

39.Bhotha   sooniya  Janthu  asurar  odidume

Dathar  guna  mahimai  kettathume

 

The ghosts , magic  , bad animal   and Rakshasas   would run away

As soon they hear  the great  qualities  of Datha

 

40Dathar  pugazh paadum Dathar  BHavaniyaiye

Dhoopam yethi dhinam padupavanume

 

The Datha bhavani   which sings praises  of Datha

Those who sing it daily   after lighting  dhoopa

 

41,Iru lokthilum nanmai  peruvaane,

Sokam yenpathu    ariyaane

 

He will get good rewards  in  both two worlds

He will not know what  really sorrow is?

 

42 Yoga  , sidhi avanai   adimayakkume\

Dukha Daridhram  tholainthidume

 

The yoga and occult powers   would make him his slave

And the  sorrow and poverty would get lost

 

43,Aimpathu iru  Vyaha kizhamai , niyamamudane

Datha bhavani  , anbudan padithaalume

44.Nidhavum  bhakthiyudan padithalume

Nerungaan arukil  Kaalanume

 

For 51 Thursdays, following rules

If we read  Dhatha  Bhavani  with love,

Or daily   read  it with devotion

The God  of death  will never  come near us.

 

45.Aneka  roopamirunthum, irai  ondre

THathuvam arinthavanai  mayai andaathe

 

Though   there  are several forms, God is one

Illusion will not go near  the one who knows  philosophy

 

46AAyiram per irunthum  nee  oruvane

Datha Digambara nee  thaan iraivane

 

Inspite of having  thousand names, you are only one

Oh Datha  Oh Digambara, you only  are God

 

47.Vanthanam  unai cheiven pala murai  naanume

Vedam piranthathu  un moochinile

 

Daily  I would salute  you  several times

The Vedas  were  born in your breath

 

48.Seshanum  varnithu  kalaippane

Pala janmam yedutha paamaran yeppadi  varnippene

 

Even Adhi sesha  will get  tired  describing you

How can an ordinary  ignorant being  who was born several  times describe you

 

49.Namam paadiya   anubhavam trupthi thantheedume

Unai  ariyaa  moodan Veezhnthiduvaane

 

The experience  of singing your name would give satisfaction

The idiot who does not know  you  will  fall down

 

50.THavasi thathwam asi avan iraivane

Paadu maname, Jaya jaya Gurudevane

 

He is a sage, he is you  and  he is God

Please sing mind, Hail  hail God Guru
