1.Kaana  pathinaayiram  kankal vendum

Kanchi Guru nadhanin dhinasari poojayai

 

To see  I should have  ten thousand eyes

To  see the daily  worship  of  Guru Nadha  of Kanchi

 

2.Velliyinaal   poojai mandapam amaithu

Swarnathinaal   athil oonjal  katti

Chandana meruvil   sakthiyai   azhaithu

Chandra  mouleeswararai pakkathi vaippathai

 

Building a worship  pavilion    silver

Tying a golden  swing in it,

After  calling  mother on the   sandal  paste  meru

And  keeping  Lord Chandra  Mauleeswara on the side

 

3.Vedathil  oliyudan  vedhiyar kootam

Padhathai naadi vantha   baktharkal kootam

Shivamulla  deivamum, Shiva kolam kondu

Paal abhishekathai   paangudan   seivathai

 

The crowd  of Brahmins  with sound  of Vedas

The crowd of devotees who have   come seeking the feet

The God Shiva    assuming   the form of Shiva

And then to see the anointment with  milk in a proper  manner

 

4,Manikkam ,Vairam, Marakatham izhaithu

Pudamitta  ponnaal bhushanangal pootti

Manjal  kumkumam, manamulla malarkal

Akshathai  kondu  archikkum azhakai

 

Spreading Ruby  , diamond , emerald

Decorating with   ornaments  of pure gold

To see  the beauty  of worshipping  with Turmeric,

Kumkum, flowers  with perfume and rice coated in turmeric

 

5.Vilvathaal archanai  , vedathin pinnani

Kuvalayam kaathida  kumkuma archanai

Chakkarai  pongalum , pala  vidha  annamum

Vidha  vidamai   annaikku   alippathai

 

Worship with Vilwam leaves, in back ground of  Vedas

Worship  with kumkum   to protect  the entire  earth

And  offering, chakkarai pongal  , different type of mixed rice

 To the mother  with devotion

 

6.Theengai yellam  aalaya  deepathin  adukkukal

Karpura aarathi, mangala  deepangal

Om Om yenave, manikal  olithida

Sangathin nadhame Bhoom , bhoom yenpathi

 

All evils being taken away by  collection of lamps

Worship with lighted camphor, auspecios  lamps

With bells tolling  Om , Om

And the conches  making   sound of BHoom, bhoom

 

7.Thamarai kayyile  thanga kudam yeduthu

Chamaram veesida,  Rama  ganam muzhankida

Manikka  veenayai maadevi  vaasithu

Mathavin  madiyil  pabivudan vaippathai

 

Taking the   golden pot in his lotus hands

Fanning  with chamaram, and with name of  Rama bhooming

The great goddess  will play  the veena   studded with gems

Abd with humility kep it on lap of mother

 

8.Pradakshinam cheithu, poojayai  mudithu

Dhyanathil  aazhnthu, pirar nalam   naadi

Than nalam maranthu, pirar  nalam naadi

Deivathai deivame  vanankidum kolam thannai

 

After making ritual rounds , after  completing the worship

After  getting drowned  in meditation, after  praying for good of  others

After forgetting his own good  , after  praying for other’s good

To see the god  saluting   theGod himself
