Sri Bhdhrakali Sthuthi

The  prayer  to Bhadra kali

     ब्रह्मविष्णू ऊचतुः

नमामि त्वां विश्वकर्त्रीं परेशीं नित्यामाद्यां सत्यविज्ञानरूपाम् । 
वाचातीतां निर्गुणां चातिसूक्ष्मां  ज्ञानातीतां शुद्धविज्ञानगम्याम् ॥१॥

 

Brahma  Vishnu  Uvachaa:-

 

Namami thwaam Viswakarthri Paresi nithyam aadhyaam , Sathya  vijana  ropaam

Vachaatheethaam  , nirgunaam  cha  athi  sookshmaamjnanatheethaam  Shudha  gamyaam

 

Lord  Brahma  and Vishnu said:-

 

We  salute you who is  the  universal doer ,The  divine Goddess, who is forever, who is the first having form  of true  science

She  who is  beyond words, Who is devoid  of all qualities, who is micro , who is beyond knowledge, who can be attained only  by pure people

 

पूर्णां शुद्धां विश्वरूपां सुरूपां देवीं वन्द्यां विश्ववन्द्यामपि त्वाम् ।
सर्वान्तःस्थामुत्तमस्थानसंस्था- मीडे कालीं विश्वसम्पालयित्रीम् ॥२॥

 

Poornaam  Shudhaam Viswa roopaam DEvim Vandhyaam  Vishwa vandhyaam  api thwaam

SArvaanthastham uthama  sthana samsthaam meede kaalim , Vishnwasampalayithrim

 

She  who is complete , who is pure , who has a universal form, The goddess who is fit to be saluted

She who is inside  everything, Who  is there in best  places, We salute kali  who takes  care of the universe

मायातीतां मायिनीं वापि मायां भीमां श्यामां भीमनेत्रां सुरेशीम् ।
विद्यां सिद्धां सर्वभूताशयस्था- मीडे कालीं विश्वसंहारकर्त्रीम् ॥३॥

 

Mayatheethaam Mayinim vaapi Maayaam Bheemaam Shyamam Bheema nethraam suresim

Vidhyaam Sidhaam Sarva bhoothasyasthaa-Meede Kalim  Vishwa  samhara  karthrim

 

She who is  beyond illusion, She  who is a magician and also illusion, Very huge , Black and has  huge eyes

She  who is knowledge, she who is occult/ready, she who is within all beings,  WE salute her who destroys the  universe

 

नो ते रूपं वेत्ति शीलं न धाम नो वा ध्यानं नापि मन्त्रं महेशि ।
सत्तारूपे त्वां प्रपद्ये शरण्ये विश्वाराध्ये सर्वलोकैकहेतुम् ॥४॥

 

No they Roopam vethi Seelam  na dhama no vaa dhyanam naapi  manthram  mahesi

Sathaaroopee thwaam prapadhye saranye viswaraadhye Sarva  lokaika  hethum

 

WE do not know  your form , conduct and abode, oh great goddess  also  your meditation  nor manthra

We salute you who  is  the form of  truth , Oh  Goddess to whom we  surrender, Oh Goddess  worshipped by universe, you are the cause  of all worlds

 

द्यौस्ते शीर्षं नाभिदेशो नभश्च चक्षूंषि ते चन्द्रसूर्यानलास्ते ।
उन्मेषास्ते सुप्रबोधो दिवा च रात्रिर्मातश्चक्षुषोस्ते निमेषम् ॥५॥

 

Dhyousthe  Seersha naabhi  dese nabhascha chaksoomshi  Chandra sooryaa analasthe

Unmeshaasthe suprabodho dhiva  cha  rathrir  ma, it  athas chakshosthe nimesham

 

The  heaven is your head , Sky  is your belly and sun, moon, and fire  are your eyes

Oh mother, Your  good morning and  waking up is for creation and when you shut your eyes, it is night  for your  creation

 

वाक्यं देवा भूमिरेषा नितम्बं पादौ गुल्फं जानुजङ्घस्त्वधस्ते ।
प्रीतिर्धर्मोऽधर्मकार्यं हि कोपः सृष्टिर्बोधः संहृतिस्ते तु निद्रा ॥६॥ 

 

Vaakyam bhoomireshaa , nithambham padhou , gulpham  janu jangaasthva  thadhaa

Preethirdharmo , adharma  kaarya  hi kopaa srushtirbodha samhruthasthe  thu  nidhraa

 

Your voice  are devas, earth is the  buttocks, Pathala  and earths below are your thighs , knees, shank  and feet

What  you like is Dharma , you get angry at injustice  and  your sleep  is the  final deluge

 

अग्निर्जिह्वा ब्राह्मणास्ते मुखाब्जं संध्ये द्वे ते भ्रूयुगं विश्वमूर्तिः ।
श्वासो वायुर्बाहवो लोकपालाः क्रीडा सृष्टिः संस्थितिः संहृतिस्ते ॥७॥ 

 

Aghnir  jihwaa Brahamanasthe mukhabhjam  sandhye dhwe they bruyugam  Viswamurthi

Swaso vayur  behave loka  paala , kreeda  Srushti, samsthithi  samhruthisthe

 

Fire  is your tongue, Brahmanas  are  your lotus like face, dawn and dusk  are your frown You are having  universal form

Your breath is wind, your hands are  kings, yur play is creation, upkeep  and destruction

 

एवंभूतां देवि विश्वात्मिकां त्वां कालीं वन्दे ब्रह्मविद्यास्वरूपाम् । 
मातः    पूर्णे    ब्रह्मविज्ञानगम्ये    दुर्गेऽपारे   साररूपे प्रसीद ॥ ८ ॥ 

 

Evam bhoothaam  Devi Viswathmikaam thwaam Kalim  vandhe Brahma vidhyaa swaroopaam

Matha poorne Brahma  Vijnana  Gamye Durge  apaare saara roope  praseedha

 

Thus  the goddess  of all elements, is the one with universe as her soul, We salute Kaliwho has  form of universal  knowledge

Oh mother complete who goes towards  universal knowledge, Oh Durge  Oh some one beyond everything Be pleased

 

॥  श्रीमहाभागवतमहापुराणके अन्तर्गत भद्रकालीस्तुति सम्पूर्ण हुई ॥
