SAranam nithyam, thavaka charanam, Sarvana sodharan Ayyappa
Tharane ninnude nama sahasram, Karuna pozhikkoo Sabareesaa
Daily surrender to your feet, Oh Ayyappa, Brother of Shanmukha
Please give your 1000 names, Oh Lord
of Sabari , please rain your mercy
Manikanda swami than munnilaai manjani
Makaram mandhahasikkunnu
Makara nakshthrathinde punchiri
prabhaylo
Malayil bakthi niranjidunnu, Dhivya
Maalayil ayyappan minnidunnu
Before God Manikanda, The makara month
Decorated by dew is slowly laughing
In the shine of the smile
of Makara Star
The mountain is filled by devotion
Lord Ayyappa shines on the
divine mountain
Karamathil villum saravumai minnum
Karuna sagaran ayyappa
Karayum bakthannu karunya thira
Karamathil varamaai cherthavane
Karimala vaazhum Jagadheesaa
Oh ocean of mercy Ayyappa
Who shines with bow and arrow
in his hands
He who gave the screen of mercy ,
In the hands of the crying devotee
Oh lord of universe who lives on Karimala(Black mountain)
Raviyude prabhayo ninnude kaalil
Rajatha kolusukal chaarthidunnu
Raavaam pull puliyude mukalil
Rakapathi poal nee varunnu
Ragandhakaaram agalunnu
The shine of the sun , is,
Making you wear silver anklets on your legs
On the spotted tiger which is the dawn
You are coming
like the full moon
The darkness of the loveliness is
removed
Jyothi swaroopande maamala makara
Jyothiyil manthram chollunnu
Jyothir linga priyanude varamaam
Jyothsnayil sarvam theliyunnu
Jyothir dhyanathil layikkunnu
The great mountain of him whose form
is a flame
Is chanting manthras in Makara Jyothi
The boon of him who likes
jyothir linga
Is becoming clear in the full moon light
And merges in the meditation of light
THirayathu poale thavaka charana
Theeram thedi jnaan ozhukunnu’
Thingal bhajanam cheyyum jnano
Thirunada thedi anayunnu
Thingal dharanude thiru suthane
Just like a wave , I am flowing,
In search of your divine feet
I who am praying and singing the entire month
Am searching and nearing your divine
place
Oh divine son of God who carries the moon
