And he manages a blog called “I am Hanuman”   ,It greatlt attracted me   and so I decided  to translate  it and  put it ion my blog.I have omitted   the last portion , which is autobiographical  .I know   Sri Sadashivam  is capable  of possibly doing a  much better  translation,. In spite  of my best efforts  , I could not contact him.If Sri Sadashivam contacts me   and ask me to delete this translation  , I  would  immediately do it.My humble thanks to him)

நம்மைப்போல சிரித்தவர் நம்மைப்போலே அழுதவர்
நம்மைப்போலே காதலித்து காதலோடு வாழ்ந்தவர்
இழப்புகளைக் கண்டவர் மீண்டெழுந்து வந்தவர்
உறவுகளைப் பிரிந்திருக்கும் சோகங்களை அறிந்தவர்
செல்வத்தையும் கண்டவர் ஏழ்மையையும் கண்டவர்
செல்வத்திலும் ஏழ்மையிலும் செம்மையாக வாழ்ந்தவர்

The fame  of Rama

One who laughed like us, one    who cried like us
One who loved like us,  and lived with love

One who has seen losses, one who has   again come up  from there,

One who knows the sorrow  of living missing his relatives

One who has seen wealrh  , one who has seen poverty,

One who lived well when he was    rich or poor

விதியென்னும் புயலிலே ஆடாத மரமல்லர்
அத்தனை புயலிலும் வீழாத மரமவர்
தன்னுயிராம் சீதையை தியாகம்செய்த மேன்மையர்
இதயத்தில் சீதையை இழக்காத ஆண்மையர்
புரிதலில்லா மக்களை பொறுத்துக்காத்த பூமியர்
புரிந்தபின் இதயத்தில் உயிரான சாமியர்

Vidhiyennum puyalile   aadaatha  mara  malar ,

Athanai  puyalilum   veezhaatha  mara  malar

THannuyiraam   seethayai   thyagam    chaeitha  menmayar

Ithayathil     seethayai yizhakkatha aanmayar

Purithal illa  makkalai  poruthu katha  bhoomiyar

Purintha pin   idhayathil  uyiraana saamiyar

The wooden flower which does not shake  in the cyclone   called fate

The wooden flower which does not fall  in all the cyclones

The great one who sacrificed   Sita   who was his soul

The  macho  man who never lost Sita  in his heart

The  patient man who pardoned and looked after   the people who did not understand

The god like person  who  made his heart his soul after  understanding  it

என்னுயிரும் ராமரே என்மூச்சும் ராமரே
என்னிதயம் ராமரே என்வாழ்க்கை ராமரே
என்கண்கள் ராமரே கண்மணியும் ராமரே
என் மனத்திரையில் எப்பவும் மலருமவர் ரூபமே
என் மூளை எப்பவும் துதிப்பதவர் பாதமே!

If you chant “Ram Ram”  , good things will happen,

If you chant “Ram Ram “ you will get peace

If  you chant “Ram Ram” , good things would  be known about you,

If you chan “Ram  Ram”   it you would  get happiness

ராம் ராம் என்றால் உவகை பெருகும்
ராம் ராம் என்றால் அறிவுத் தெளியும்
ராம் ராம் என்றால் தர்மம் புரியும்

If you chant  “Ram Ram’,  your heart will melt

If you  chant  “Ram, Ram”  we would understand  Dharma

If you chant  “Ram, Ram” your valour ould become bright

If you chant  “Ram, Ram” , we would get  victory

If you chant  “Ram, Ram” , our wealth would  increase,

If you chant  “Ram, Ram”, doors will open

ராம் ராம் என்றால் மனது அடங்கும்
ராம் ராம் என்றால் புலன்கள் ஒடுங்கும்
ராம் ராம் என்றால் யோகம் நிலைக்கும்
ராம் ராம் என்றால் மோட்சம் கிடைக்கும்

Ram  Ram   yendraal  yogam nilaikkum

Ram Ram yendraal  moksham kidaikkum

If you chant  “Ram, Ram” , mind would become calm,

If you chant  “Ram, Ram”  our organs of passion would be controlled

If you chant  “Ram, Ram” , The Yoga  would become stable

If you chant  “Ram, Ram”, we will get salvation

ஒரு வைரம் போல மனதில் பதித்தால்
துன்பம் எல்லாம் தொலைவில் ஓடும்
இன்பம் எல்லாம் விரைவில் கூடும்

ரோம ரோமமு ராம நாமமே!

ஓம் ஸ்ரீசீதா லக்ஷ்மண பரத சத்ருக்ன அனுமந்த் சமேத ஸ்ரீராமச் சந்திர பரப்பிரம்மணே நமஹ!

Om Sri  Sita  , Lakshmana, bharatha  Sathrugna  Hanumantha   sametha  Sri Rama Chandra  para  Brahmane  nama

If we chanfthe fame of Rama  daily

If we  embed it in our mind like a diamond

All sorrows would  run far far away

All happiness   would come with great  speed

Blessed hail  to Sri Rama

In each  of hairs  only name  of rama  is there

Om Sri  Sita  , Lakshmana, bharatha  Sathrugna  Hanumantha   sametha  Sri Rama Chandra   Divine  Brahman salutations

கற்பார் இராம பிரானையல்லால்மற்றும் கற்பரோ?,

புற்பா முதலாப் புல்லெறும் பாதியொன் றின்றியே,

நற்பால் அயோத்தியில் வாழும் சராசரம் முற்றவும்,

நற்பாலுக் குய்த்தனன் நான்முக னார்பெற்ற நாட்டுளே.
- நம்மாழ்வார்

Karpaar   rama piraanai  allal  mathrum karpparo?

Purpaa  mudhalaa  pullerum  pathi yondru indriye

Narppal   ayothiyil vaazhum  characharam  muththavum

Narpalukkuythanan   naan  mukhanaar   pethra Naattule  -  Nammazhvaar

Would those   who want to learn , any thing except  Lord Rama,

Without   exception  even  the low grass  and things like   creeping ant
Which live in the city    of  Ayodhya   including those which move and do not move,

Along with all   the creatures   created by four faced Brahma  to salvation

சிவனோ அல்லன் நான்முகனோ அல்லன் திருமாலாம்
அவனோ அல்லன் செய்தவம் எல்லாம் அடுகின்றான்
தவனோ என்னின் செய்து முடிக்கும் தரன் அல்லன்

Sivano allan  naanmukhano   allan  thirumaalaam,

Avano allan   cheithavam yellam  adukindraan,

Thavano   yennin   cheithu  mudikkum   tharan allan

Yivano   avvedha  mudhal  Karanan- Kambha Ramayanam

“He  is not Shiva, He is not Brahma and also   not Vishnu,

He also does  not appear   to be one   who has  done great  penance,

And has   achieved very many    great   capabilities,

And  is he   the  primeval   being of the Vedas”  Kambha Ramayanam

AS told bt Ravana

எனையே கதியென்று சரணம் புகுந்தவர்
வாழ்க்கைக்கு அதுமுதல் நானே பொறுப்பு
குற்றங்கள் யாவையும் பொறுப்பேன் துடைப்பேன்
நன்மைகள் யாவையும் ஒவ்வொன்றாய் கொடுப்பேன்
-ஸ்ரீராமர்

Yennaye  Gathiyendru saranam  pukundhavar ,

Vaazhkaikku  , athu  mudhal  naane  poruppu ,

Kuthangal  Yaavayum  poruppen  , thudaippen,

Nanmaigal   yavayum  ondru ondrai  koduppen- Sri Rama

To those  who surrender  to me , saying I am their only protection,

I am responsible    for their  life    from then onwards
I will pardon   all their mistakes, remove all of them,

And  I would give   them one by  one everthing   that is good

ஸ்ரீராம காயத்ரி- Sri Rama  Gayathri

ஓம் தாசரதாய வித்மஹே
சீதா வல்லபாய தீமஹி
தந்நோ ராம ப்ரச்சோதயாத்

Om  Dasarathaya  Vidhmahe  ,

Sitha  vallabhaya  dheemahi

THanno Rama  prachodhayath

Let me   meditate  on the son of dasaratha,

Oh consort  of Sita  , give me higher  intellect

And let Lord Rama illuminate my mind

ஸ்ரீ சீதா காயத்ரி

ஓம் ஜனகபுத்ரியை வித்மஹே
ராமப்ரியாய தீமஹி
தந்நோ சீதா ப்ரச்சோதயாத்

Sita  Gayatri

Om Janakaputhriyai   vidhmahe

Ramapriyaya  Deemahi,

THanno  Sita  prachodhayaath

Let me meditate on the daughter of Janaka

Oh darling of Rama  , give me higher intellect

And let Sita  illuminate  my mind

ராம பாத காயத்ரி

ஓம் ராமபாதாய வித்மஹே
ஸ்ரீராமபாதாய தீமஹி
தந்நோ ராமபாதப் ப்ரச்சோதயாத்

Rama  Padha   Gayatri

Om Rama padhaya  vidhmahe  ,

Sri Rama  padhaya dheemahi

THanno  Rama  Padha  Prachodhayath

Let me meditate  on Rama’s feet

Oh feet of Rama   give me higher  intellect

And let feet  of Rama  illuminate  my mind

வேதசாரம் கீதையே
கீதைசாரம் கிருஷ்ணரே
கிருஷ்ணர்பாதம் பற்றவே
கிருஷ்ணசாரம் கிட்டுமே

Vedha saaram  Githaye  ,

Geethai   saram  Krishnare

Krishna  Padham Pathave,

Krishna  saaram kittume

Gita   is the essence of Vedas

The essence  of Gita  is Krishna

If we  catch hold of the feet of Krishna,

WE will get   the essence  of Krishna

கிருஷ்ணசாரம் ராமரே
ராமர்சாரம் நாமமே
ராமநாமம் சொல்லவே
ராமர்பாதம் கிட்டுமே

Krishna   saaram   Ramare ,

Ramar  saaram namame  ,

Ramar  namam chollave  ,

Ramar padham kittume

Rama is the essence of Krishna  ,

The essence  of Rama  is his name

If you tell the name  of Rama,

You would get the feet  of Rama

ராமர்பாதம் கிட்டினால்
நன்மையாவும் கொட்டுமே
நன்மையாவும் கொட்டினால்
நன்மையாவும் கிட்டுமே

Ramar  Padham kittinaal  ,

Nanmai yaavum kottume

Nanmayaavum kottinaal

Nanmai yaavum kittume

If we get the feet of Rama,

WE will all that is   good,

If all that   is good rains  ,

Then  we would get all that  is good,

நன்மையாவும் என்கையில்
அளவு ஒன்றும் இல்லையே
அளவொன்றும் இன்றியே
நன்மையாவும் கிட்டுமே

Namai yaavum yen kayyil,

Alavu ondrum  yillaye  ,

Alavu  ondrum indriye

Nanmai  yaavum  kittume

All the  good is in my hands

There is no limit   for that,

Without any limit   whatsoever,

I would get all  that  is good

ராமாயணம் விவசாயம்
பாகவதம் அறுவடை

Ramayanam  Vivasayam

Bhagawatham   Aruvadai

Ramayana   is the farming  ,

And Bhagawatha    is the harvest

ஸ்ரீராமராம ராமேதி
ரமே ராமே மனோரமே
சஹஸ்ர நாம தத்துல்யம்
ராம நாம வரானனே!

Lord Shiva said:

Hey beautiful one,
I pray with Rama always,
By chanting Rama Rama and Rama,
Hey lady with a beautiful face,
Chanting of the name Rama ,
Is same as the thousand names.

நன்மையும் செல்வமும் நாளும் நல்குமே

தின்மையும் பாவமும் சிதைந்து தேயுமே

சென்மமும் மரணமும் இன்றித் தீருமே

இம்மையே இராம வென்ற யிரண்டெழுத்தினால்

Namayum  chelvamum  naalum nalgume,

Thinmayum  paavamum  chithainthu   theyume

Chenmamum  maranamum    indri    theerume

Immaye   Rama  yendra  urandezhuthinaal   Kamban

Over time we will go on getting   good as wealth,

Bad things and sins    would get broken and vanish,

There would not be  future births  as  well as deaths,

All these  by the   two letters  Ra , ma                               Kamban

நாடிய பொருள்கை கூடு ஞானமும் புகழு முண்டாம்
வீடியல் வழியு மாக்கும் வேரியன் கமலை நோக்கு
நீடிய வரக்கர் சேனை நீறுபட் டழிய வாகை
சூடிய சிலையிராமன் றோளவலி கூறு வோர்க்கே

Naadiya  porul kai kodum  , jnanamum Pugazhumundam,

Veediya;  vazhiyumakkum   veriyan  Kamalai nokku,

Neediyavarakkar senai   neeru pattazhiya   vaagai  ,

Soodiya   silayiraman   thol vali  koorvorkke

Those who chant will get the wealth that   we seek,along with fame  and wisdom,

“The  sun who has arisen  in the east sees    the lotus flower,

The   Rakshasa   army   which has  assembled   got destroyed by  the fire,

Mummai chaal   ulahukellam  moola manthirathai  muthum,

THammaye   thamakku   nalgum    thani perum padathai thane  ,

Immaye   marumai   noikku   marunthiai Rama  yenum,

Chemmai    cher  namama thannai  kankalaal    theriya kandaan  -Kamban

He who is the root chant  for    all the worlds which gas past, present   and future,

He who    asked himself about    what he is and got the word   that is answer,

And knew that it is the medicine   of all the diseases  of this and other world  and is “Rama:,

Which he  knew it as the name   that is good, and saw it with his own eyes

கனிவு வலிவு பணிவு துணிவு
வீரம் வீரியம் வல்லமை வெற்றி
ஞாபகம் நம்பகம் நாயகம் நாணயம்
ஈரெட்டு குணங்களும் இன்னும் பலவும்
ஈரெழுத்து மந்திரம் சீராமம் தந்திடும்

Nanmai   , nermai  , inimai  , yel;imai  ,

Kanivu  , valivu  , panive , thunivu  ,

Veeram  Veeriyam, vallamai ethri  ,

Jnapakam  , nambakam  nayakam  naanayam

Yeeretty   ginangalum   innum palavum .

EErezhuthu  manthiram  seeraamam  thanthidum.

அந்தி மாலை உச்சி மூன்றும் ஆடுகின்ற தீர்த்தமும்
சாந்தி தர்ப்பணங்களும் தபங்களும் செபங்களும்
சிந்தை மேவு ஞானமும் தினம் செபிக்கு மந்திரம்
எந்தை ராம ராம ராம ராம என்னும் நாமமே.

Anthi malai  , uchi moondrum  aadukindra   theerthamum,

Santhi tharpanangalum  , thapangalum  , chepangalum,

Chinthai  mevu jnanamum, , dhinamum jepikkum manthiram,

Yenthai Rama, Rama, Rama, Rama yennum naamame

                                                       

The effect of the three  times of dawn, noon and dusk , bathing in scared waters.

SAndhya vandhana , THarpana  , meditation , chanting  of manthras,

The wisdom percolating in mind and , the Manthras  that we chant ,

Can all be got    just by chanting   the name   of Rama, Rama  , Rama.

இதாம் இதாம் இதல்ல என்று வைத்துழலும் ஏழைகாள்
சதா விடாமல் ஓதுவார் தமக்கு நல்ல மந்திரம்
இதாம் இதாம் இராம ராம ராம என்னும் நாமமே.

Kathavu  pancha  pathhakangalai  thurantha  Manthiram,

Ithu aam, ithu aam, ithalla yendru   vaithu uzhalum  ezhaikaal,

Sadhaa vidaamal  oothuvaar  thamakku nalla manthiram,

Ithaam ithaam Rama Rama, Rama  yennum  Naamame

Oh poor innocents  who are  saying that manthra

Which removes the  sins created  by five great sins is this or that,

That   good manthra   which  can be kept on chanting,

Is  that, is that , the name  of Rama,Rama  , Rama .

நானா தேது? நீய தேது? நடுவில் நின்றது ஏதடா?
கோனதேது? குருவதேது? கூறிடும் குலாமரே
ஆனதேது? அழிவதேது? அப்புறத்தில் அப்புறம்
ஈனதேத்று? ராம ராம ராம என்ற நாமமே

Naanaathethu , neeyatheyhu  , naduvil  nindrathu yethadaa ,

Konathethu  , Guruvathethu , kooridum gulaamare ,

AAnathethu   azhivatheethu  , appurathil  appuram,

Yeenadethu  ?Rama  Rama   yendra  namame

What have I become? What have you become ?What is in between us?

Which is ruling over us  ?Which is teaching us, Oh slaves  please tell,

What has been made?What has been destroyed and what is beyond that

Understand that , the one which can save us in name of Rama , Rama , Rama

போதடா எழுந்ததும் புனலதாகி வந்ததும்
தாதடா புகுந்ததும் தானடா விளைந்ததும்
ஓதடா அஞ்சுமூன்றும் ஒன்றைத்தான வக்கரம்
ஓதடா இராமராம ராமவென்னும் நாமமே

Learn the divine chant of three and five(Om Namasivaya) is the one and become great ,

Undestand that  it is again nothing   but  the name , Rama  repeated thrice

THeliyumangai    udan irunthu   cheppukindra  tharakam,

And those    who meditate him there   would hear  the tharaka manthra ,

Needu  paarile   piranthu   neyamana  kayam thaan,

Veedu peru   ithu yendra pothu   vendi   inbam vendumo,

Paadi naalu vedamum   paarile   padarnthatho  ,

Being born in the world   we think this body is ours,

Suppose    we need salvation, would we get it by asking,

For that   we should learn and sing all  the four Vedas which are spread everywhere,

 And  keep on chanting   the name Rama, Rama, Rama , Rama

Should  be chanted   daily with toungue adding  Shivaya nama

When this   body with nine  holes  is about to be vacated,

If people try chant “Rama, Rama , Rama” nine  timmes
For the bad people  , God would come and stifle their voice,

And   for  the people who love him, this would always  be heard

கன சங்கு சக்ர தரநீள்
சீராய தூய மலர்வாய நேய
சீராம ராம எனவே
தாராய வாழ்வு தருநெஞ்சு சூழ்க
தாமோதராய நம ஓம்
நாராயணாய நம வாமனாய
நம கேசவாய நமவே!

Oh Lord Krishna, who is of the colour  of  cloud and lack gem,

Who has mouth like   the pure  flower,

If we   pray to you   as “Oh Rama, Oh Rama, Oh Rama”

It would give    a life  that is very good and so,

We have to chant “Om Damodharaya nama,

Om Narayanaya nama, Om Vamanaya  nama, Om Kesavaya nama”
