Oh  wise  beauty  , who is worshipped by   devas

Oh form  of  joy , who holds  a veena in her hand

 

Vella pattu aninjaval  , chenthamara  aninju,

Mulla  , mallika, Rojaa Mala darichu  Kayyil

 

Wearing   white silk   , wearing  the red hibiscus

Jasmine  , chrysanthymum  and rose  Garland  she wears  in her hand

 

Oyyaramaaya  grandham  , ola  churulum   yenthi

Meyyai  vilangum  devi naavil  udhichidenam

 

Stylishly   carrying the book and palm  leaf scroll

That goddess  who shines  truly should rise  up on my toungue
