1.AS soon as you  wake up , seeing your palm

 

Karagrevasathe Lakshmi

Karamadhye Saraswathi

Karamoolesthithou Gowri

Prabhathe Karadarsanam

 

Lakshmi lives in the tip of my palm,

Saraswathi lives in its middle,

And Gowri lives at its base,

So I see my palm in the early morning.

 

2.The  surya  namaskara  in the morning

 

Soyam bhaskara  vidhyasath

Granothkara bhaswara

Deepa  jyothi  namasthubhyam

Suprabatham  kuruswame

 

I make  the  Sungod   spread  ,

Its rays  of wisdom, light  all over  the world

I salute  the  luster   from  the lamp

Please  make  the morning  good to me

 

3.Manthra to be chanted  while taking bath

 

Kaadhaar kuzhal aada, paipoon kalanaada

Kodhai  kuzhalaada, vandin  kuzhaam  aada

Seetha punal  aadi , chithambalam paadi

Veda porul paadi, apporulss maapaadi

Chothi  thiram paadi choozh kondrai  thaar paadi

Aadhi thiram paadi, anthamaa  maapaadi

Bedithu nammai  valarthedukka pei  valai than

Padha thirampaadi, aadelar  yempavai

 

With the ear studs worn in the ear shaking,
With all pretty gold ornaments waving,
With the pretty plait of ours,
Moving hither and thither,
With the bees surrounding the plait,
Moving with the plait,
We will all bathe and play ,
In the cool holy waters of the stream,
And sing of the temple at Thillai,
Sing of the lord,
Who is the meaning of Vedas,
Sing of the meaning of holy light,
Sing of his Konrai flowers adorning his hair,
Sing of Him who is the beginning and end,
Sing of him who shows us as different from this world,
And Pray the Goddess that we attain him,
Is it not our Lady.

 

 

4.For wearing  Vibhuthi  (sacred ash)

 

Musaluru  mukham moondru, mukam  thorum  kannum

Moondru karam, moondru padha , mugai  avizh mundakam poal

Vimali  trisoolam choodi , abhayam karathil

Ven kuzhai vendalai maalai , vir  , pulithol udayum

Koramali  vizhi kazhala, kodeeram   thaanga

Kodi iraviyin oliyaai, kunchitha paadaum aai

Varamurum vennethil amarnthavanai paninthe

Mannu  thiru ner  idave, aanava maasu  arume

 

With  three  pretty faces , eyes  in each of those faces

Three  hands,just like  beam of open flowers

Decorated  by pure trident, blessing in his hand

White hair, garland of white waves  , with dress made of tiger  hide

With bulging eyes ,carrying  tufted  hair

With lifted  feet  having light of one crore sun

Bowing to him who sits on blessed  sacred ash

If we wear that  sacred ash , the manly pride will  come down

 

4.The names of Vishnu which we have to recite  while wearing Thiruman(Vaishavite marks)

 

Chant  Kesavaya name , wear it on forehead

Narayanaya nama , wear it on belly

Madhavaya nama wear  it on chest

Vishnave nama on right chest

Madhu sudanaya nama on upper arm

Trivikramaya nama on right shoulder

Sridharaya nama  on left arm

Hrikesaya nama on left  shoulder

Padmanabhaya nama on bottom of back

Damodaraya nama  on scuff(back)

 

Saying this we have to wear Thiruman

 

5.Prayer  to Ganesa  to complete  properly  the  job we  have taken up

Iynthu  karathanai, Aanai mukhathanai

Indhin ilam pirai polum yeyithanai

Nandi makan thanai, Jnana  kozhunthinai

Punthiyil vaithu adi pothukindrene

 

To the  one with five hands, elephant face’

He who shines like  young crescent of moon

To the son of Nandi, To the  wise  new born

I am keeping in my mind and praise  his feet

 

Vakra thunda maha Kaya, soorya koti  sama prabha

Nirvighnam Kurume  devo, sarva karyesh sarvadhaa

 

He who has  broken tusk , huge  body, has shine like crore of Suns

Oh God make everything  in all  actions without blockage,

 

6.Prayer to chanted  before  starting studies

 

Jnananandamayam devam,

Nirmala spatikakruthim

Aadhaaram sarva  vidhyaanam

Hayagreevam  upasmahe

 

The god who is happy due to being wise

Who has  the form of pure  crystal

Who is  the basis  of all knowledge

I pray  Lord Hayagreeva

 

7.Prayer  to increase memory

 

Yaa  devi sarva  bhootheshu

Smrithi  roopena  samsthithaa

Namasthasyai, namasthasthasyai

Namasthasyai  namo nama

 

The goddess    who is in all beings

Is in the   form of memory

I salute her, I salute her

I salute her  , Salutations and salutations

 

7.Prayer  to pass out in Examination

 

Bashyaathi  sarva  sasthraani, ye cha anye niyamaa thadhaa

Aksharaani  sarvaani dvanthu  devi  namosthuthe

 

For all  Interpretations , all sastra, and also  the other  rules

And also all alphabets , she  who is the goddess, my salutations

Hari priyaa  , deva devi, mahalakshmi  cha  sundari

 

Oh Goddess , who is like nectar , Kamalaa, She who  shines  like moon

Wife of Vishnu,The Vishnu form of Durga,she who holds bow Sarnga  to destroy sorrow

She who is liked by Hari, Goddess of Gods , Mahalashmi  ,pretty goddess

 

9.To mentally prepare  for competitions  and interview

 

Parkadal neer thuli melelaam  therithu

Pala pala vena minna, nakshathiram poal

Naarkadal aakum andha sedanin meethu

Nuvalarum kan valara ari  thuyil   ayarvaan

 

Kar kadal menian, kamala  oli kannan

Kaidavan madhuvayum  kondra perannal

Yaarkkum  arithaana, hari achuthan nadhan

Annavan adi  malarepotrinen potri  potri

 

With drops of milk ocean getting sprayed all over body

And shine   very greatly like    a star

On the God   Vishnu who is the four oceans

 

10.Prayer for keeping income before  god and praying

 

Namaskaram maha maye, sri pedathoru  nayaki

Sankhu chakra gadahi kayyai , mahalakshmi  vanankinen

Namaskaram  garudanil yeri  kolasurarai  azhi bhayankari

Yellaa paavamum azhikkindra  maha lakshmi  vanankinen

Yellam arintha  thaayaare, yellaa  varam tharum devi

Yella dukamum  azhikkindra  mahalakshmi  vanakinen

 

Salutation   great enchantress, oh  goddess of sRi peeda

Oh Mahalakshmi , I saluted your hand with conch, wheel   and mace

Salutations to you who became fierce, got up   the garuda  and killed  kolasura

I salute Mahalakshmi  who destroys  all sins

Oh mother   who knows everything, oh goddess  who grants all boons

I salute you who destroys   all sorrow

 

Sidhi BUdhi   tharum thaaye, budhi mukthi  tharum devi

Nithiyam manthira  morthinee, mahalakshmi  vanankinen

Mudhal , mudivu, nadvu illathoi, aadhi sakthi maheswari

Nedithaana yogam vanthoi nee , mahalakshmi vananginen

 

Oh mother who grants  wisdom and power, Oh goddess  who grants  wisdom and salvation

Oh Mahalashmi   who is daily  power of manthras, I am saluting you,

Oh Maheswari, who is primeval power  who does not have  beginning, middle   and end

Oh Mahalakshmi  , who gave great   enjoyment, I am saluting you

 

Perithum chirithum aavoi, nee maha bhayankara  roopini

Perum  pavam pokki nirpoi, mahalakshmi  vananginen

Thamarai nirkkum thaayaare, para  brahma   swaroopiniye

Aam , yaarkkum thalaivi thaaye, nee mahalakshmi  vananginen

 

You who can become big as well as small, you have one very great  fierce form,

Oh Goddess  who removes great sins and stands, Oh Mahalakshmi  I salute you

Oh mother  who stands on lotus  who has form of divine brahmam

Yes, you   are leader for all, You are Mahalakshmi  , I  salute you

 

Vennudai aninthathor  devi, devi pala ani poonda  annaye

Ennilaa   ulagam kaappai, Mahalakshmi  vananginen

Mahalakshmi ashtakam ithanai padippor  evar aayinum

Yella  sidhikalum pethru arasakshi  peruvar  , avar

 

Oh Goddess  who wears white dress, Oh Goddess who wears  many type of ornaments

Please protect innumerable worlds, Oh Mahalakshmi  , I am saluting you

Whosoever reads the octet of Mahalakshmi,

Will   get al the powers and   they would rule over the country

 

Oru tharam padithaalemaapathakam   theerume

Dhinam irutharam padipparaayin , dhana  dhanyam  perugume

Mummurai  padipparaayim maa yethiriyum   azhivaane

Pan murai  padithaal  devi  Lakshmi prannamaavaal   varam tharave

 

If read once great  sins would come to an end,

If read daily twice, money and grain   would increase

If read thrice, even their greatest  enemy  would get destroyed

If read several times  , Goddess Lakshmi  would come in person and grant boons

 

 

11.Prayer  to khubera for money saved  not getting reduced

 

Valam yaavum thanthiduvai, vaisravanaa  potri

Dhanam thanthu  kaathiduvaai, dalapathiye potri

Kuraivu illa vaazhvu  alippai, Kubera  Potri

Uraithiduvai nee inge, uthamane potri

Sanganidhi pathuma nidhi saarnthu  nirppai potri

Mangalangal thanthu  yengalai magizhvippai  potri

Pongidum nalam yaavum unnarule  potri

THangida  cheivai selvam potrinom potri , potri

 

Please  give  all wealth  , salutations to Vaisravana

Please give  money  and protect us  , salutations  to commander

Please give  life  without shortage , Salutations to Khubera

You  become firm here  , Salutations to good one

Please stand slanting two great  treasures , salutations

Please give holy good things and make us happy  , salutations

All ebbing  good things   are due to you, Salutations

Make  wealth stay here WE saluted you, salutations

Thunai neeye   endru irunthaal  Raghavendra,

Thunbam yethu   vazhvinile  Raghavendra,

Thikkatha   perkalukku   Raghavendra,

Deivam neye   yeppothum Raghavendra

 

Oh  Raghavendra , if we remain  feeling, you are  only help  ,

Where   would be    sorrow  in our life  , Oh Raghavendra  ,

To the helpless   people  , Oh raghavendra ,

Always   you are  only God  , Oh Raghavendra
