अथ श्रीरामनाममहिमा ।।
Now “the greatness of name of Rama’

( There are several
stories of the greatness of name
of Rama. Though I remember this
story , I forgot the name of the sage,
It
seems one king killed a Brahmin and
got the
sin of “Brahma hathya” .He went
in search of his guru in the forest .His Guru had gone on a pilgrimage .So his son the king to chant , the name of
Rama, two times .The king
did , got rid of his sin and went back.When the Guru returned and when his son told
about what happened , the Guru cursed his son saying, “After once chanting name of Rama , what sin is left
,So by advising the king
to chant twice, you have
committed the sin.
Whenever I think of this story, I think of what would have happened , if this saint
heard Shiva telling parvathy “Sri Rama, Rama,. Ramethi”(3 times Rama).He
would have cursed lord Shiva also)

राघवो
रामचन्द्रश्च एको हि विद्यते सदा
।
रामनामजपेनैव
मुक्तिं विन्दन्ति वै नराः ।।१।।
Raghavo , Ramachandrascha , eko hi vidhyathe sadhaa,
Rama
nama japenaiva mukthim
vindanthi vai naraa
Raghava and Ramachandra always
exist together,
By
chanting the name of Rama, Human beings get salvation
कीर्तयन्ति
कलौ भक्ताः सौभाग्यशालिनस्तथा ।
रामनामामृतं
भव्यं पिबन्तु च मुहुर्मुहुः ।।२।।
Keerthayanthi kalou
Bhakthaa soubhagya salina sthadhaa,
Rama Namamrutham
bhvyam pibanthu cha muhur muhu.
The people
of Kali age , if they sing the name of Rama, they are very lucky,
It is
enough if they drink the nectar of name
of Rama, again and again.
रामनामामृतं
पीतं वाल्मीकिना च सर्वथा ।
सिद्धिं
प्राप्य कृतं येन रामायणं च सुन्दरम् ।।३।।
Rama
namamrutham peetham Valmeekinaa cha
sarvadhaa,
Sidhi
prapya krutham yena Ramayanam cha sundaram
Valmiki was always drinking the nectar like name of Rama,
And
He achieved the ability to write the pretty Ramayana
रामनामरसं
पीत्वा स ख्यातश्च अजामिलः
।
पुत्रव्याजेन
चाहूतो नारायणञ्च प्राप्तवान् ।।४।।
Rama
nama rasam peethwaa cha khyathascha
Ajamila,
Puthra
vyajena chaahootho Narayanascha prapthavan.
The
famous Ajamila was drinking the juice of the name of Rama,
In the guile of calling his son, he
reached Lord Narayana
रामनाममणिर्यस्य
हृदये च विराजते ।
कासते
वै मनस्तस्य निर्मलं सततं तथा ।।५।।
Rama
nama manir yasya hrudhaye cha
virajathe,
Kaasathe
ve manasthasya nirmalam sathatham
sadhaa.
Those who shine tying the gem of
name of Rama,
Would
have a shining mind, which is always pure
रामनामामृतं
पीतमहल्यया हि सर्वथा ।
नारीरूपं
पुनः प्राप्तं शिलारूपमपागतम् ।।६।।
Rama
namamrutham peetha mahalyayaa hi
sarvadhaa,
Naari
roopam puna praptham silaa roopa mapagatham
Ahalya was always drinking the nectar of nme of Rama,
She
was able to leave her stone form and gain assume the lady’s form.
रामरामेति
नामेति बभाज शबरी सदा ।
भगवद्दर्शनं
कृत्वा वैकुण्ठमधिगता सा ।।७।।
Ram
Ramethi Naamethi bhabhaajaa sabari thadhaa,
Bhagwad
darsanam kruthwaa vaikunta
madhigathaa saa
Always
Sabari was eating
the name “Rama, Rama”
She
was able to see the God and go
to Vaikunta
रामनाम
कबीरेण जपितं सर्वदा सदा ।
सुशिष्या
यस्य मीरा वै प्राप्तो गिरिधरो
यया ।।८।।
Rama
Nama Kabirena japitham sarvadhaa sadhaa,
Susishyaa yasya
meeraa praptho giridharo
yaya
Kabir
was always chanting the
name of Rama,
His
great disciple Meera , attained Lord Krishna.
रविदासो
हि भक्तश्च रामं नित्यं च सेवते ।
सद्भूत्वा
हि स रामः तस्य
गेहं समागतः ।।९।।
Ravi
daso hi
bhakthascha Ramam nithyam cha sevathe,
Sadbhoothwaa
hi sa Rama thasya moham samagatha
The
devotee Ravi Dasa was serving
Lord Rama daily,
And
to fulfil his wish , Rama came to see him in person.
यस्य
स्मरणमात्रेण सर्वं दुःखं व्यपोहति ।
ब्रवीति
च शिवानीयं कथं न स्मर्यते जनैः
।।१०।।
Yasya
smarana mathrena sarvam dukham vyapohathi,
Braveethi
cha Shivaaneeyam kadham na smayathi
jane
Lord
Shiva told that by just thinking about him,
All
your sorrow would get destroyed , how can people be not proud of it
ॐ
तत्सदिति श्रीशिवानीविरचितश्श्रीराममहिमा
सम्पूर्णः ।।
