(Sudarshana   is the wheel like weapon wielded by  Lord Vishnu. It seems that Sanjana  the  daughter of Viswakarma , the deva architect married lOrd Sun and due to the great heat of the sun was not able to live with him. Then as per the request of Sun God  , Viswakarma sawed the sun God and made him shine less  . Out of the dust collected    The Sudarshana Chakra     was made and given to Lord Vishnu as weapon.  It is considered as the most powerful weapon in Hinduism. It is supposed to have ten million spikes  in two rows moving in opposite directions.  It is told about Sudarasana Chakra that

 tvaṁ dharmas tvam ṛtaṁ satyaṁ
tvaṁ yajño ’khila-yajña-bhuk
tvaṁ loka-pālaḥ sarvātmā
tvaṁ tejaḥ pauruṣaṁ param (Srimad Bhagawatham)

"O Sudarśana wheel, you are religion, you are truth, you are encouraging statements, you are sacrifice, and you are the enjoyer of the fruits of sacrifice. You are the maintainer of the entire universe, and you are the supreme transcendental prowess in the hands of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. You are the original vision of the Lord, and therefore you are known as Sudarśana. Everything has been created by your activities, and therefore you are all-pervading”

        In many temples of  South India Sudarshana chakra has   separate temple and is reverentially   referred as  “Chakrathu Azhvar:

    Lord Bharatha the younger brother of Rama is  considered as  the incarnation of Sudarshana chakra .  There are some references saying that king Karthaveeryarjuna was another incarnation.The present royal dynasty ruling Thailand is called “Chakri dynasty” after the Sudarshana Chakra. A great fire worship addressing the Sudarasgana Chakra   is performed to attain, health, wealth and prosperity. It also is supposed to clean the mind and body of the person who performs the Homa .Let us pray   this great devotee  and greatest weapons   tocleanse ourselves of all sins.)

 9.om anekaaditya sankaashaaya namaha–Salutations to him who is like several sun gods

 10.om prodyajjvaalaabhi ranjitaaya namaha–Salutations to him who illuminated even an ocean of flames

 11.om soudaaminee sahasraabhaaya namaha–Salutations to him who has light like thousand lightnings

 12.om maNikunDala shobhitaaya namaha–Salutations to him who shines in gem studded  ear rings

13. om panchabhoota manoroopaaya namaha–Salutations to him who is like the mental  form of the five  e;ements

 14.om shaTkoNaantara samsthitaaya namaha–Salutations to him who is within  six angles

15. om haraanta karaNod bhootarosha bheeshaNa vigrahaaya namaha–Salutations to him who starting from the  the mind of Lord Vishnu   has a  angry and frightful form

 16.om haripaaNi lasat padma vihaaraara manoharaaya namaha–Salutations to him who is more pretty than the lotus in the hands  of Lord Hari

 17.om chakraakaara roopaaya namaha–Salutations to him who has the form resembling the wheel

18. om sarvagyaaya namaha–Salutations to him who knows everything

 19,om sarvalokaarchita prabhave namaha–Salutations to him who is the lOrd being worshipped by all the world

 20.om chaturdasha sahasraaraaya namaha –Salutations to him who has four thousand spokes

21.om chaturvedamayaaya namaha–Salutations to him who pervades in all the four Vedas

 22.om analaaya namaha–Salutations to him who is fire

 23.om bhaktachaandramsa jyotishe namaha–Salutations to him who is light by the  spirit of the devotee called moon

 24.om bhavaroga vinaashakaaya namaha–Salutations to him who destroys the disease of birth –death cycle

 35.om nirmalashriyai namaha–Salutations to him who depends on purity

 37.om raktamaalyaambaradharaaya namaha–Salutations to him who wears a red garland

 38.om raktachandana rooshitaaya namaha–Salutations to him who is coated with red sandal paste

 41.om rakshahkula yama upamaaya namaha–Salutations to him who can be compared to God of death of the Rakshasas

 97.om hum phaT kshobhaNaa krutaye namaha–Salutations to him who causes emotion if we chant “Hum Phat”

 98.om indraarchita manovegaaya namaha–Salutations to him who is worshipped by Indra  and moves with speed of the  mind

 99.om dharaNee bhaara naashakaaya namaha–Salutations to him who destroys   the burden of earth

100, om veeraaraadhyaaya namaha–Salutations to him who  is worshipped by the valorous

 101.om vishvaroopaaya namaha–Salutations to him who takes a mega universal form

 102.om vaishNavaaya namaha–Salutations to him who is the follower of Vishnu

103.om vishNuroopakaaya namaha–Salutations to him who takes the form of Vishnu

 104.om satyavrataaya namaha–Salutations to him who does penance  of truth
