Wake up prayer  to lord shiva

उत्तिष्ट भैरवस्वामिन् काशिकापुरपालक ।

श्रीविश्वनाथभक्तानां सम्पूरय मनोरथम् ॥ १॥

 

Uthishta  Bhairava  swamin, Kasika  pura  palaaka

Sri Viswanadha Bhakthanaam   sampooraya  manoratham

 

Oh LOrd  Bhairava   who is   the  guard  of city of Kasi  , please  wake up,

And fulfill the   wishes   of devotees  of Lord Viswanadha

 

स्नानाय गाङ्गसलिलेऽथ समर्चनाय विश्वेश्वरस्य बहुभक्तजना उपेताः ।

श्रीकालभैरव लसन्ति भवन्निदेशं उत्तिष्ट दर्शय दशां तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ २॥

 

Snaanaaya   ganga  salile adha samarchanaaya visweswarasya bahu  baktha janaa upethaa,

Sri Kala Bhairava  lasanthi bhannidesam , uthishta  darasaya dasaam   thava suprabatham

 

Very large number of devotees   after taking bath in water of Ganga are waiting to  do worship of Viswesara,

Sri Kala Bhairava is shining   for your orders, Please wake up  see  the  position , A  good morning   to you

 

यागव्रतादिबहुपुण्यवशं यथा त्वं पापात्मनामपि तथा सुगतिप्रदाऽसि ।

कारुण्यपूरमयि शैलसुतासपत्नि मातर्भगीरथसुते तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ ३॥

 

Yaagaa vruthaadhi  bahu  punya vasam thwam paapathmnaam api thadhaa sugathi  pradhaa asi

Karunya  poora mayi , saila sutha   sapathni mathar bhageeratha  suthe  thava  Suprabatham

 

You are one in whom effects  of several yagas and penances are there and so you please bless these sinners with salvation

Your  are  the co wife  the mercy filled  daughter of mountain,  oh mother who is daughter  of Bhageeratha ,  a good morning to you

 

दुग्धप्रवाहकमनीयतरङ्गभङ्गे पुण्यप्रवाहपरिपाथितभक्तसङ्गे ।

नित्यं तपस्विजनसेवितपादपद्मे गङ्गे शरण्यशिवदे तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ ४॥

 

Dugdha  pravaha   kamaneeya   tharanga  bange, punya pravaha paripaaditha  bhaktha sanghe

Nithya, thapaswi jana sevitha padha padme ,Gange  saranya shiva  dhe thava suprabatham

 

Oh river with pretty  white flow of waves, who causes flow  of blessed deeds to the  devotes who dip in you

Oh  Ganga whose  lotus like feet is served by people who do daily penance, you are one protected by Lord Shiva   a good morning to you.

 

वाराणसीस्थितगजानन दुण्ठिराज सम्प्रार्थितेऽष्टफलदानसमर्थमूर्ते ।

उत्तिष्ट विघ्नविरहाय भजामहे त्वां श्रीपार्वतीतनय भोस्तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ ५॥

 

Varanasi sthitha  Gajanana  Dundi Raja samprathithe, ashta phala dhana samartha  moorthe

Uthishta vighna  virahaaya  bhajamahe thwaam   Sri Parvathi thanaya bhao sthava  suprabatham

 

He   who is   present  as Dundi Raja  in Varanasi , who  is God   who is capable  of giving eight  type of results,

Please wake  up oh lord who makes obstacles suffer ,I pray to you, Oh Lord who is son of Parvathi, to you my good morni

 

पूजास्पद प्रथममेव सुरेशु मध्ये सम्पूरणे कुशल भक्तमनोरथानाम् ।

गीर्वाणबृन्दपरिपूजितपादपद्म संजायतां गणपते तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ ६॥

 

pojayaspadha   pradhamameva  suresu madhye  sampoorane kusala bhaktha manoradhaanaam,

Geervana brinda pari poojitha  pada padma samjaayathaam ganapathe thava suprabatham

 

He who is fully   fit to be worshipped  in the midst  of devas, he who makes the wants of  his devotees happy,

He whose  lotus like feet  is worshipped by crowds of gods,  oh lord Ganesa  we happily wish you a good morning

 

कात्यायनी प्रमथनाथशरीरभागे भक्तालिगीतमुखरीकृतपादपद्मे ।

ब्रह्मादिदेवगणवन्दितदिव्यशौर्ये श्रीविश्वनाथदयिते तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ ७॥

 

Kathyayani  pramadha  naadha sareera  bhage bhaktha ligitha mukharee  krutha  pada  padme  ,

Brahmadhi deva gana vandhitha  divya  sauryam, sri  viswanatha dhayithe thave  suprabatham

 

Oh Goddess  Kathayani  who occupies a part  of Lord Shiva, whose lotus like feet  makes  devotees pray so that  it resounds,

Whose  divine valour is  worshipped  by Brahma and other devas, Oh consort of  Viswanatha  a good morning to you

 

प्रातः प्रसीद विमले कमलायताक्षि कारुण्यपूर्णहृदये नमतां शरण्ये ।

निर्धूतपापनिचये सुरपूजितांघ्रे श्रीविश्वनाथदयिते तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ ८॥

 

Pratha  praseedha  kamalayathakshi  , karunya   poorna  hrudhaye namathaam  saranye

Nirdhootha  papa nichaye sura poojithangre sri Viswanatha   dayithe thava  suprabtham

 

Be  gracious  in the morning  oh pure one who has  lotus like eyes and Oh goddess  who grants protection I salute   your heart full  of mercy,

She who makes   heap of sins in to  nothing, who is worshipped by devas, Oh Consort of Viswanatha  , a good morning to you

 

 

सस्यानुकूलजलवर्षणकार्यहेतोः शाकम्भरीति तव नाम भुवि प्रसिद्दम् ।

सस्यातिजातमिह शुष्यति चान्नपूर्णे उत्तिष्ट सर्वफलदे तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ ९॥

 

Sasyaanukoola varshana  karya hetho, sakambareethi thava  nama  bhuvi  prasidham

Sasyathi jathamiha sushyathi cha annapoorne, uthishta sarva phaladhe, thava  suprabatham

 

She who is the cause of rains  which are  beneficial to crops, in the earth  you are  well known as  Sakambari

And without which the crops become dry,  Oh annapoorna, please wake  up,  she who gives all results, A  good morning to you

 

सर्वोत्तमं मानवजन्म लब्ध्वा हिनस्ति जीवान् भुवि मर्त्यवर्गः ।

तद्दारणायाशु जहीहि निद्रां देव्यन्नपूर्णे तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ १०॥

 

Sarvothamam    manava  janma labdhvaa hinasthi  jeevaan   bhuvi marthya varga

Thaddharanayaasu jaheehi nidhraam, devyannapoorne  thava  suprabatham

 

The birth of humans is the best of all, but once you get that birth they destroy  all humans  of the world,

Understanding that wake up from sleep oh   goddess  Annapurna, A good morning to you

 

श्रीकण्ठ कण्ठधृतपन्नग नीलकण्ठ सोत्कण्ठभक्तनिवहोपहितोपकण्ठ ।

उत्तिष्ट सर्वजनमङ्गलसाधनाय विश्वप्रजाप्रथितभद्र जहीहि निद्राम् ॥ ११॥

 

Sri Kanta   kanta  drutha  pannaga  neela kantaa, sothkanta  bhaktha nivahopa hithopa  kanta

Uthishta    sarva  jana mangala  saadhanaaya, viswa  prajapathi jaheehi   nidhraam

 

He who has a pretty throat  , when your  throat was held  for sake of serpent  it became blue, who does good to the  greatly  worried  devotees

Please get up  oh store house  of all auspiciousness of all people, be safe he who is prayed to by  creator of world, please  leave  your sleep

 

गङ्गाधराद्रितनयाप्रिय शान्तमूर्ते वेदान्तवेद्य सकलेश्वर विश्वमूर्ते ।

कूटस्थनित्य निखिलागमगीतकीर्ते देवासुरार्चित विभो तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ १२॥

 

Gangadhara, aardhri thanayaa  priyaa  , vedantha vedhya, sakaleswara  viswamoorthe

Kootastha nithya nikhilaagama geetha keerthe, deva asurarchitha vibho  thava  suprbatham

 

Oh lord   who carries  Ganga who is moved  by  his dear son, one who is learned  in vedatha, the  universal god  to all gods

Who is forever  supreme, who is famous for singing all Vedas, the lord worshipped by devas  and asuras, a good morning to you

 

 

श्रीविश्वनाथकरुणामृतपूर्णसिन्धो शीतांशुखण्डसमलंकृतभव्यचूड ।

भस्माङ्गरागपरिशोभितसर्वदेह वाराणसीपुरपते तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ १३॥

 

Sri Viswanadha   karunamrutha poorna  sindho, seethamsukhanda samalankrutha  bhavya  chooda

Basmanga raga parishobhitha sarva deha, varanasi  pura pathe  thava  suprabatham

 

Oh lord Viswanatha  the ocean of nectar  of mercy, who  wears the crescent  of moon   as   a decoration

Who shines with  ash applied  all over his body , Oh lord  of Varanasi  , a good morning to you

 

देवादिदेव त्रिपुरान्तक दिव्यभाव गङ्गाधर प्रमथवन्दित सुन्दराङ्ग ।

नागेन्द्रहार नतभक्तभयापहार वाराणसीपुरपते तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ १४॥

 

Devadhideva  , tripuranthaka, dhivya bhavaa  , gangadhara pramadha vandhitha  sundaranga

Nagendra  hara natha bhaktha bhayaapahaara, varanasi pura pathe thava  suprabatham

 

Oh God of  gods , the destroyer of Tripura, one who carries Ganga  as divine duty , the pretty one who is  saluted by Pramadhas

He who wears  king of serpents as  garland, he who destroys  the fear  of his devotees, Oh lord of   city of Varanasi  , a good morning to you

 

वेदान्तशास्त्रविशदीकृतदिव्यमूर्ते प्रत्यूषकालमुनिपुङ्गवगीतकीर्ते ।

त्वय्यर्पितार्जितसमस्तसुरक्षणस्य वाराणसीपुरपते तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ १५॥

 

Vedantha sasthra  visadheekarana  dhivya moorthe , prathyooshaka  kaala muni pungava   geetha keerthe

Thvayyarpitha  aarjitha samastha   surakshanasya, Varanasi pura pathe thava suprabatham

 

Oh divine God who can explain Vedantha  Sastras  , who has the fame of being sung by    sage  of  time  at day break,

Who is  the complete protection given as compensation  to what we give  , Oh lord of city of Benares, a   good morning  to you.

 

कैलासवासमुनिसेवितपादपद्म गङ्गाजलौघपरिषिक्तजटाकलाप ।

वाचामगोचरविभो जटिलत्रिनेत्र वाराणसीपुरपते तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ १६॥

 

Kailsa  vasa  muni sevitha  padha padma, ganga   jalougha parishiktha  jataa  kalapaa

Vachama   gochara  vibho   jatila   trinethra, vararanasi  pura pathe thava   suprabatham

 

He who lives in kailasa and whose  lotus like feet is served  by sages, who has matted hair   wetted  by  the water  of ganges

Oh lord who is beyond words and mind, who is Lord Shiva   with three eyes, Oh lord of city of Benares  , a good morning to you.

 

श्रीपार्वतीहृदयवल्लभ पञ्चवक्त्र श्रीनीलकण्ठ नृकपालकलापमाल ।

श्रीविश्वनाथमृदुपंकजमंजुपाद श्रीकाशिकापुरपते तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ १७॥

 

Sri Parvathi  hrudaya  vallabha, pancha vakthra, sri neelakanta  nrukapala kalapa mala

Sri  Viswanadha   mrudhu  pankaja manju padha, sri  kasika pura pathe   thava suprabatham

 

The lord of the heart  of  Parvathy , he who has five faces, he who has a  blue neck, he who wears a garland of collection of skulls

Lord Viswanatha, who has feet like   pleasant  lotus flower, oh lord of city of benares  , a good morning to you

 

काशी त्रितापहरणी शिवसद्मभूता शर्मेश्वरी त्रिजगतां सुपुरीषु हृद्या ।

विद्याकलासु नवकौशलदानशीला श्रीकाशिकापुरपते तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ १८॥

 

Kasi   trithapa  harani  shiva sadhma bhoothaa   sarmeswari  trijagatham  supureeshu hrudhyaa

Vidhyaa  kalaasu    nava  kausala dhana  seelaa , sri  Kasikapuradhinadha  thava  suprabatham

 

Benares  which steals away  three  type of sufferings, having   the temple of Shiva, the most pleasant of the great cities  of the   three  worlds,

Which is habituated in giving  away knowledge, arts and new  techniques, Oh lord of city of  Benares  a good morning to you

 

श्रीविश्वनाथ तव पादयुगं स्मरामि गङ्गामघापहरणीं शिरशा नमामि ।

वाचं तवैव यशसाऽनघ भूषयामि  वाराणसीपुरपते तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ १९॥

 

Sri Viswanadha   thava  padha yugam   smarami , gangamaghapaharineem   sirasaa  namami

Vaacham   thavaiva yasasaa  anagha  bhooshyami, varanasi  pura pathe thava  suprabatham

 

Oh Lord   Viswanatha  I think about your twin feet, i salute  with my head him who has  robbed the beauty  of Ganga

With fame  i will decorate  myself  by your words  ,  Oh lord  of city  of Benares , a good morning to you

 

नारीनतेश्वरयुतं निजचारुरूपं स्त्रीगौरवं जगति वर्धयितुं तनोषि ।

गङ्गां हि धारयसि मूर्ध्नि तथैव देव वाराणसीपुरपते तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ २०॥

 

Naari  natheswara  yutham  nija  chaaru roopam , sthree  gaurabam  jagathi vardhyithum    thanoshi

Gangam hi   dharayasi moordhnee thadhaiva deva  , varanasi  pura pathe   thava  suprabatham

 

The  god  of female  devotees  who has a  truly pretty form , who by his body  increases   the respect for women in this world

Oh God  I would wear  yiur ganges  on my heaf , Oh lord  of city of benares , a good morning to you.

 

 

त्वमेव माता च पिता त्वमेव त्वमेव बन्धुश्च सखा त्वमेव ।

त्वमेव विद्या द्रविणं त्वमेव त्वमेव सर्वं मम देवदेव ॥

 

Thwameva mathaa   cha  pitha  thwameva bandhuscha   sakhaa  thwamaiva

Thwameva  vidhyaa   dravina, thwameva, thwameva  sarvam  mama  deva deva

 

You are the mother , the father  , relatrions   and friends

You are knowledge, wealth  , and god of gods  you are my everything

 

ॐ मङ्गलं भगवान् शम्भो मङ्गलम् वॄषभध्वज ।

मङ्गलं पार्वतीनाथ मङ्गलं भक्तवत्सल ॥

 

Om Mangalam Bhagawan Shambho, Mangalam  Vrushabha  Dwaja

Mangalam  Parvathi Nadha, Mangalam  BHaktha  vathsala

 

Om Auspeciousness to God Shambhu  , God with  Bull in his flag

Auspiciousness  to  Lord of Parvathi  , who is dear  to his devotees

 

। एतत् श्लोकद्वयं प्राचीनकविकृतम् ।
