ஸ்ரீ மஹா காளி கவசம்

     Sri Maha  Kali  Kavacham

     Sri   Armor of the   great  Kali

(Written by  Saint  Aandavan Pichai  , so that Indian army will win in India-Pakisthan war) 

 

    During 1965 when the war between India and Pakisthan was going on, one   Sri  Singappa Raja  who was brigadier  in Indian army approached Maha Periyava (The then peedathipathi of Kanchi Kama Koti peedam) and requested  him to bless India,Maha Periyava adviced him to go and see AAndavan Pichai(The lady saint  “The alms of God”)

   It seems that this great  , Aandava Pichai  has been born with a special devotion and a blessing from divinity from childhood. Once when Mahaperiyava was visiting her place, everyone in her street were standing outside with poorna kumbam etc. Her parents were also one among them. When Periyava approached and told her father, “Go and call the girl who is washing the dishes inside”…”She is not an ordinary girl…She is Aandavan Pichai”. (The alms of God)

   Sri Singappa Raja  obeyed his advice and met the lady saint   and requested to her to bless so that  Indian army will  win the war

 Then the saint  Aandavan Pichai, saw a scene in her mind where Mother Kali  was coming on a golden chariot and protecting our border

And she  wrote this great prayer called  “Sri mahakali kavacham(armour of  Kali) as if  it was a blessing which flowed from her

1)

புனிதமாம் பாரதத்தின்

புகழினைப் போக்கவென்று

அநியாய போர்புரிந்து

அழித்திடும் அரக்கர்தம்மை

தனியாக நின்றெதிர்க்கும் ஆண்மைமிகும் இந்தியர்கள்

நினைத்ததும் துணையாய்வந்து

வெற்றியருள் ஜெயஸ்ரீ காளி மாதா

 

Punithamaam  bharathathin  ,

Pugazhinai  pokkavendru  ,

Anniyaya  por purinthu

Azhithidum   arakkar  thammai

Thaniyaaka  nindru  yethirkkum   aanmai  migum  indhiyarkal

Ninaithathum thunayai   vanthu

Vethri  yarul  Jaya  Sri  Kali  matha

 

For the sake  of wiping out the fame,

Of     the   very  holy country  of Bharatha

The    Rakshasas are  waging   an unjust  battle,

Please   think of  the very masculine  Indians ,

Who are  fighting   alone   with them,

And please  come   as   support and grant us victory,

படுகளந்தனில் பகைவரை

எதிர்க்கும் மக்கள்

நடுவினில் நின்று நீயே

நால்வகை தந்திரத்தால்

அடுத்து வந்து அமர் புரிந்து

அழித்திடும் பகைவர் தம்மை

தடுத்தெம்மை காத்தருள்க

ஜெயஸ்ரீ காளி மாதா

 

Padu  kalam  thanil  pakaivarai yethikkum  makkal

Naduvinil  nindru   neeye   naal vakai  thanthirathaal

Aduthu vanthu  amar purinthu, azhithidum  pagaivar  thammai

Thaduthu yemmai  kathu arulka

Jaya   sri  Kali  Matha

 

Please  stand in the middle of people 

Who oppose the enemies  in the terrible  battle field,

And please use the four type of tricks and prevent   the enemies,

Who come near us fight with us and protect us

Hail   sri  mother  Kali

பயங்கர சண்டமுண்டன்

மகிஷனை சம்ஹரித்து

ஜெயங்கொண்ட பத்ரகாளி

சாமுண்டி தேவி உந்தன்

தயவினை வேண்டிநிற்கும்

தனயன்கள் பாரதத்திற்கு

அபயம் தந்து அருள்வாய்

தாயே ஜெயஸ்ரீ காளி மாதா

 

Bhayankara  chanda  mundane  , mahishanai  samharithu,

Jayam konda BHadra  kali, Chamundi devi unthan

Dhayavinai  vendi nirkkum  thanayankal, bharathathirkku

Abhayam    thanthu  arulvai  , thaaye

Jaya   sri Kali  mathaa

 

Oh Bhadra   kali who killed  the fierce   chanda  and Munda ,

And Mahishasura  and attained  victory, Oh Chamundi  devi

Please  grant  protection to India and your sons who are expecting your mercy

And  oh mother   please    grant protection

Hail  sri mother  Kali

ஆயிரம் கைகள் கொண்டு

அரக்கனின் கூட்டமெல்லாம் நீ

இடம் வலம் வந்து நிமிஷத்தில்

சம்ஹரித்தாய்

போயின உங்கள் துன்பம்

போரினில் வெல்வீர் என்று

சேயே எமக்கருள்வாய் அம்மா

ஜெயஸ்ரீ காளி மாதா

 

AAyiram kaikal kondu , arakkanin  koottam yellamm nee

Idam valam vanthu nimishathil  samharithai

Poyina    ungal   thunbam, porinil velveer yendru

Cheye  , yemakku   arulvai   Amma

Jaya  sri Kali matha

 

Within a minute  you went round left  and right, the huge   crowd  of Asuras

And destroyed   all of them mother,

You please  tell us  , “Oh child  all your sufferings  have gone.

Go fight   in the   battle and  be victorious

மதுகைடபர்கள் என்ற

மடையர்கள் உந்தனோடு

சதுரங்க சேனையோடு

தமர்புரிந்து அழித்ததறிவோம்

இது நல்ல தருணமம்மா

எங்களுக்கு உதவி செய்து

பதுங்கியே பகைவரோடருள்செய்

ஜெயஸ்ரீ காளி மாதா

 

Madhu kaidabharkal   yendra  madayarkal unthanodu,

Chathuranga  senayodu, thamar  purithu  azhithathu arivom

Ithu nalla   tharunamamma, yengalukku  udhavi cheithu

Pathungiye pagaivarodu   arul  chei  ,

Jaya   sri  kali  matha

 

We know about how   the fools called  Madhu  and Kaidabha  ,

Fought  with you along with   the army  of four types  and got destroyed

This is a  good chance, please help us ,

And also help so that   the hiding  enemies  get destroyed

முப்புரமெரித்த பரமன்

சிரம் தன்னில் அமர்ந்த தாயே

ஒப்புக்கு உறவு கொண்டு

உளவறிந்து எதிர்க்கும் பகைவர்

தப்பும் வகை செய்திடாமல்

தட்சணம் வந்து காப்பாய்

அப்புறம் எண்ணாமல் அருள்வாய்

ஜெயஸ்ரீ காளி மாதா

 

Muppurameritha  paraman, siram  thannil  amarntha  thaaye

Oppukku  uravu kondu ulavarinthu   yethirkkum  pakaivar

Thappum  vagai   cheithidamal, thakshanam  vanthu kaappai

Appuram   yennamal   arulvai

Jaya  sri kali matha

 

 

Oh mother  who sat on the head  of great god who burnt  the three  cities

The enemies   who pretend   as relation, spy on us and   fight with us,

Please do not give any chance  for them to escape  , come immediately   and protect us

And without  thinking afterwards  do bless all of us

சும்பன் நிசும்பன் என்ற

சூரனெனும் அரக்கர்தம்மை

அம்ப நீ அடக்கி வென்ற

அருள்திறம் அறிவோம் அம்மா

உம்பரம் என்று எங்கள்

உடல் பொருள் ஆவி தந்தோம்

நம்பும் எங்களுக்கு அருள்வாய்

ஜெயஸ்ரீ காளி மாதா

 

Shumbhan, nishumban  yendra sooranenum arakkar  thammai

Ambu nee   adakki vendra, arul   thiram  arivom   amma

Umparam yendru    yengal   udal porul  aavi thanthom

Nambum yengalukku  arulvai

Jaya  sri  Kali matha

 

Oh mother   we know   how you controlled   and destroyed by your arrow  ,

The   valorous rakshasas called   Shumbha   and Nishumbha

We have given our souls   as   that of yours,

Please  bless  us   who believe   in you

அண்டிவரும் பகைவர் கூட்டம்

அலமலர்ந்து அலறி ஓட

தண்டித்து எங்கள் துன்பம்

அகற்றி அருள்புரிவாய் அம்மா

கண்டிப்பாரின்றி எதிர்க்கும்

கடும் பகைவர் அஞ்சி ஓட

சண்டி சாமுண்டி வெல்க

ஜெயஸ்ரீ காளி மாதா

 

Andi varum pakaivar  kottam, alamalarnthu  alari oda

Dandhithu , yengal thunbam agathi  arul  purivai   ammaa

Kandipparindri  yethirkkum   kadum pakaivar anji  oda

Chandi  Chamundi   velga

Jaya   sri Kali matha

 

Oh mother  punish   the crowd of enemies  who are coming near us ,

So that  they get scared  and run away, and remove our sorrows and bless us

Let the Chandi  , Chamundi   win so that

The fierce enemies who  are opposing us ,

Without  any body   to chastise  them get scared and run away

இன்றெம்மை எதிர்த்து நிற்கும்

இரக்கமில்லாத பகைவர்

என்றென்றும் எங்கள் மண்ணில்

எடுத்தடி வைக்காவண்ணம்

கன்றென்று கதறி உந்தன்

கால் பிடித்துள்ளோம் அம்மா

நன்றெமக்கு அருள்வாய் அம்மா

ஜெயஸ்ரீ காளி மாதா

 

Yindru yemmai  yethirthu nirkkum   irakkamillatha  pakaivar

Yendrendrum   yengal mannil   , yeduthu adi vaikkatha vannam

Kandrendru  kadhari   undhan   kaal pidithullom Amma

Nandru  yemakku   arulvai   amma

Jaya   Sri Kali  Matha

 

Make  these merciless enemies who are opposing us and standing against us

Not keep a step forever  on our soil,

Like this we are   crying and wailing, Catching your feet , Oh Mother

Oh Mother please say that   you will  do it,

அம்மை பைரவி வெல்க

நீதியின் பக்கம் நிற்கும்

நீலியின் கருணை வெல்க

சோதியாதெம்மை காக்கும்

மாதாநின் பேரருள் வெல்க

(யுத்த)பீதியாவையும் தீர்ப்பாய்

ஜெயஸ்ரீ காளி மாதா

 

AAdhi Parasakti velga, Ammai   Bhairavi  Velga

Neethiyin  pakkam nirkkum   neeliyin karunai velga

Sodhiyaahu   yemmai kaakkum  mathaa nin per arul velga

(Yudha ) bheethi yavayum  theerppai

Jaya Sri  Kali matha

 

Let the primeval  Parasakthi win, Let  mother Bhairavi win

Let the  mercy of goddess who stands  on side of justice win

Let the great blessing of you mother, who protects us without testing us  win

Please  put an end to the fear  of war , oh mother
