Purudukhartharaam  adiyangalkku yennum

Thiru namam  naavil  theru there  varaan

Varam tharename Guruvayurappa

 

To us your devotees  who are sad

And who think that  your lotus feet is their protection

For your divine name  to come in heaps  on their toungue

Please  grant boon , Oh Lord Guruvayurappa

 

Guru tharamaakum  duritha sanchayam

Guru puri pathaye  anushtikka moolam

Uru bhavabdhi than alakalil pettu

Param valanjeedunnavaraam jnangalkku

Oru vidhathilum  ini avidunne

Yoru krupa  allathe   avalambamillaa  ( Hare Narayana..)

 

The  collection of sufferings  would become  very difficult

But by   worshipping   the lord of Guruvayur

We  who have been caught  in the  waves of fate,

And  are not able to know what to do,

And we do not have   any  other go, except

Holding  tightly  your mercy .

Are your divine forms and make my mind cool

For always   tasting  the  nectar of your divine name,

When the phlegum and the mucus,is pressing the throat

Producing sound kram, kram sound and we are  in helpless  state

When without any one to nurse  us near by

WE are  suffering due   to very great sorrow

For  making us cool by  music of your flute

For  raining mercy on us from  your divine eyes

For  consoling us  by  your divine words

For showing us clearly your   divine lotus like face

For  speedily showing us your  divine body ,

From head to foot   very clearly

At the time of death, before us

Oh  Guruvayurappa  , please come and be present before us
