This great manthra addressed  to God Dhanwantari  , the doctor among gods

 can be chanted  after   bath for curing our own sickness  or that  of others.

If being chanted   for curing others  , in stead of Mama  , say their name

 

 

Mamo partha   duritha kshayaya , Dhanwanthari preethyatham

Mama/    -------- sarmana  , roga  samanaartham

Dhanwantari  Manthra   japam Karishye

 

For destruction of my sudffering , for pleasing  Dhanwantari

My/or so and so s  curing of the disease

I chant    the Dhanwantari  mantra

 

a.      Read  Dhyanam /Prayer with folded hands

 

1.“Om Namo Bhagavate  Maha Sudharshana
Vasudevaaya Dhanwantaraye;  Amrutha Kalasa Hasthaaya
Sarva Bhaya Vinaasaaya  Sarva Roka Nivaaranaaya
Thri Lokya Pathaye  Thri Lokya Nidhaye
Sri Maha Vishnu Swarupa  Sri Dhanwantri Swarupa”

 

Om   Salutations  to  God who  has  clarity  of look

Who  is Vasudeva  ,  Who is Dhanwantari  , who holds  pot of nectar

Who  destroys all fear, who cures   all diseases

Who is lord  of  three worlds, who is treasure  of three  worlds,

Who is form of  Lord Vishnu and  who has   form of Dhanwantari

 

2.Namami  Dhanvwnthare, AAdhi   deiva

Suraaasuraaa    vanditha  pada padmam

Loke jwara roga bhaya , mruthyu nasaka,

Dhathaaram   eeshaam  vividha  oushadham

 

I salute   Dhanwanthari the primeval god

Who lotus   like feet    is saluted by   devas  and asuras

Who is the destroyer  of  fear  of disease  of fever  as well as death,

And one   who carries   various   types  of medicines

Sri sri sri  Vishnu  of    the  wheel  of medicine   salutations

 

c.Dhanwantari   Gayatrri  (chant 108 rtimes)

 

Om THath  purushaya  Vidhmahe,

Amrutha kalasa   Hasthaya deemahi

Thanno   Dhanwanthari  prochadayaath

 

Om I am meditating   on the   divine God,

Oh God holding  pot of nectar, give  me higher  intellect

Oh God   Dhanwantari   illuminate  my mind
