1.Sri kshonyo  ramani yugam sura mani puthro apivani pathi

Pouthra   Chandra   Shiromani  phanipathi sayya  , sura   sevakaa

Tharkshyo  yasya  radho mahascha  bhavanam  brahmanda Madhya  pumaan,

Srimad  venkata bhoo dharendra ramana kuryaadhareer Mangalam

 

He is one , who has two pretty  wives  Mahalakshi and Bhoodevi, Lord Brahma  , the husband  of Saraswathi  is the son,

Lord   shiva who wears  moon is  the grand son, lord of snakes  is the bed, devas  are servant,

Lord Garuda  is his chariot, who is the gentleman  to whom the   universe  as his home,

Let  that  Lord  Venkata,  the pretty  king of earth, who is lord Hari ,, make my morning  good

 

2.Yathe  joravi koti koti  kiranaan dikruthya  jejeyathe

Yasya sri vadanambujasya sushamaa raakendhu  koteerapi.

Saundaryam cha mano bhaavaanapi bahoon kanthischa kadambineem,

Srimad  venkata bhoo dharendra ramana kuryaadhareer Mangalam

 

He whose rays  win over crores  and crores of rays  of sun and lives,

The luster  of whose  lotus like face beats  luster of crores of full moon,

Whose  beauty and outlook  is more than the luster  of several  manmathas,

Let  that  Lord  Venkata,  the pretty  king of earth, who is lord Hari ,, make my morning  good

 

3.Nana rathna kireeta mukhai , bhooshanair  bhooshitha,

Srimad kausthubha rathna  bhavya  hrudaya , sri vathsa  sallanjana,

Vidhyuth varna  suvarna  vasthra  ruchiro ya sankha  chakradhibhi

Srimad  venkata bhoo dharendra ramana kuryaadhareer Mangalam

 

He who decorates himself his crown   as well as ornaments by various gems,

Who has a chest with shining   gem of Kausthubha, who has a mole  called Sri Vathsa

Who is pretty with silk cloths which are  like lighting and who shines with  weapons like  Chakra   and the conch

Let  that  Lord  Venkata,  the pretty  king of earth, who is lord Hari ,, make my morning  good

 

4.Yadh phaale mruganaabhi charu  thilako, nethra  abjapa thraayathe,

Kasthuri Ghana saara kesara milach sri gandha  saarodravai

Gandhair   liptha thanu sukandha sumano maalaadharo ya  prabhu

Srimad  venkata bhoo dharendra ramana kuryaadhareer Mangalam

 

He in whose friend musk thilaka  is shining , whose   eyes   are  like lotus   flowers

He who has a body has been covered  by sandal paste mixed   with musk, camphor,

And   saffron and gives out sweet smell and which lord  wears perfumed bewitching  garland,

Let  that  Lord  Venkata,  the pretty  king of earth, who is lord Hari ,, make my morning  good

 

5.Yethad divya padham mamaasthi bhuvithath sampasyathat yaadaraath,

Bhakthebhya  swa karena darsayathiyadh drushtyaadhi saukhyam  gath,

Yethad bakthi mathaamiyaanaapi bhavambodheerna dheethi  sprusan,

Srimad  venkata bhoo dharendra ramana kuryaadhareer Mangalam

 

He who shows  his devotees with love that  his divine  feet is on the ,

Earth, by pointing  out by his hand, and by seeing which  the devotees attain pleasure,

And who touches his knee saying that ,  ocean of samsara  for devotees is only  up to that,

Let  that  Lord  Venkata,  the pretty  king of earth, who is lord Hari ,, make my morning  good

 

6.Ya swami sarasas thate viharatho, sri swami namna   sadhaa,

Saurnalaya  manditho  vidhi mukhair barhi  mukhair   sevitha

Ya sathroon hanaya nijaannavathi cha sri boovarahathmana,

Srimad  venkata bhoo dharendra ramana kuryaadhareer Mangalam

 

He who as god  is always   seen at the bank  of swami  pushkarani tank,

Who  is in the golden temple   served   by    Lord   Brahma  and  other devas there,

And who destroys   his enemies and protects his devotees and who shines  as  Yajna varaha moorthy,

Let  that  Lord  Venkata,  the pretty  king of earth, who is lord Hari ,, make my morning  good

 

7.Yo  brahmadhi suraan muneescha manujaan brahmothsavavaaya   gathaan,

Drushtwaa drushta manaava bhoova bahu sasthrairchitha  samsthutha,

Thebhyo ya pradadhwaraan bahu vidhaanlakshmi nivaso  vibhu.

He  who on seeing   the devas, sages and men who   have  come to attend,

The brahmothsavam  becomes   very happy  and  when prayed  according to sastras by them,

And blesses   them and  grants   various type of boons and who is the lord  in whom Goddess Lakshmi lives

Let  that  Lord  Venkata,  the pretty  king of earth, who is lord Hari ,, make my morning  good

 

8.Yo devo bhuvi varthathe  kali yuge, vaikunta  loka   sthitho,

Bakthaanaam  paripalanaaya  sathatham karunyavaaraam  nidhi,

Sri seshakhya maheedra  masthaka manir bhakthaika chinthamani

He who though being a god  who lives  in vaikunta  , lives  on earth,

For  nurturing his devotees , who is always  the  ocean of mercy,

And who shines  like a gem on top  of  Sesha mountain as  wish giving gem to  his devotees,

Let  that  Lord  Venkata,  the pretty  king of earth, who is lord Hari ,, make my morning  good

 

9.Seshadri prabhu  mangalashtakamidham thushtena yasye shithu,

Preethyartham rachitham ramesa charana dwandwaika  nishtaavathaa

Vivahyaadhi shubha kriyaa supatitham yai  sadhu  theshaamapi

Srimad  venkata bhoo dharendra ramana kuryaadhareer Mangalam

 

This octet of auspiciousness  on the lord of   SEshadri  mountain,

Has been composed  by one who has   great  love towards  his  twin feet

And if read well in  ceremonies  like marriage, to all of them,

Let  that  Lord  Venkata,  the pretty  king of earth, who is lord Hari ,, make my morning  good

 

Ithi sri Vadhi raja poojya charana virachitham sri venkata  mangalashtakam   sampoornam
