 ശിവ ശങ്കര പാർവതി കാന്താ പരമേശ്വര ശിവ പാലയമാം

മൃത്യുഞ്ജയനെ കാലാന്തകനെ

അഭയം തരണേ ജഗദീശാ.

Mrutthyunjayane  , Kalanthakane

Abhyam tharane  Jagadeesa

 

Oh  Shiva Sankara, huband of Parvathi , oh  greatest god  , look after  me

Oh winner over death, Oh killer  of Kala

Oh God of universe   give me  protection

 

മാർക്കണ്ഡേയനു മോക്ഷം നല്കിയ മാഹേശ്വരനുടെ

പാദങ്ങൾ മമ മനതാരിൽ നിത്യം തെളിയാൻ

ശിവ നാമങ്ങൾ തോന്നെണേ.

 

Markandeyanu  moksham  nalkiya  Maheswaranude

Padangal  mama  manatharil  nithyam theliyaan

Shiva  namangal  Thonnene

 

For  the feet  of  the great  god   who   gave  salvation,

To Markandeyato become daily clear in my mind

Let names  of Shiva appear  in my mind

 

അന്തകാനൊരു നാൾ അരികിൽ വരുമ്പോൾ

ശിവ പാദം തുണയാകേണം

ശൂലാഗ്രത്താൽ യമനെ അകറ്റി അടിയനു സദ് ഗതി നല്കിടണേ

 

Anthakan oru naal  arikil  varumbol

Shivapadham thunayaakenam

Soolagrathil  Yamane akathi , adiyannu  sadh gathi nalkeetane

 

One day when the God of death  comes near  me

Let the feet  of Shiva  help me

Let him  move away Yama by tip of his trident and give  salvation to me

 

ഡമ ഡമ താളലയ- ങ്ങളിലെന്നും

താണ്ഡവമാടും നടരാജൻ

മമ മനമാകും ശ്രീകോവിലിതിൽ എന്നും നർത്തനമാടിടുമോ

 

Dama Dama  thala  layangalil  yennum

Thandavamaadaan  Natarajan

Mama  manamagum  Sri kovilathil yennum  narthamadeedumo

 

Would  God Nataraja  daily  dance

In the merger  of  the Da Da beats

Would  he forever  dance in the sanctum   of my mind

 

ജീവിതമാകും നൗകയിതെങ്ങോ

ദിക്കറിയാതെ അലയുമ്പോൾ

തിരു സന്നിധിയാം ശാന്തീ തീരം അണയാൻ അടിയനു കഴിയേണേ.

 

Jeevithamaakum naukayithengo

Dhikkariyaathe alayumbol

THiru  sannidhiyaam  santhee  theram anayaan adiyannu kazhiyane

 

When I am wandering without knowing direction

In this   boat called  life

Let  the slave beable to reach , the shore of peace of  your  divine prescence

 

ശിവ നാമങ്ങൾ നാവിൻ തുമ്പിൽ ജപമായ് എന്നും വരുമെന്നാൽ

ഇതുപോൽ പുണ്യം മറ്റൊന്നില്ല മോക്ഷ പ്രാപ്‌തി ലഭിച്ചീടാൻ

 

Shiva  namangal  naavin thumbil japamai  yennum  varum  yennal

Ithu poal  punyam  mathonnilla, moksha prapthi labhicheedaan

 

If the names ofLord  Shiva come in the tips  of toungue  daily   as  chants

There is  no blessed  act like this to get  salvation

 

നരനായ് വന്നു ഭവിച്ചൊരു ജന്മം പുണ്യമി ഭാരത മണ്ണിതിലായ്

പരമേശ്വരനെ കീർത്തിച്ചങ്ങിനെ

പരമാനന്ദം നേടേണം.

 

Naranaayi  bhavichoru  janmam , punyamee  bharatha  mannilaayi

Parameswarane  keerthichangine

Paramanandam  nedenam

 

This birth was taken as  human being  in the blessed  land  of  India

By keeping  on singing  about  the greatest God

I should  get  divine joy

 

ഓരോ ദിനവും പോയീടുമ്പോൾ

ദേഹം ക്ഷയിച്ചു തളരുന്നു

ഇനിയൊരു മാത്ര വൃഥാ കളയാതെ

ശിവ പാദാർച്ചന ചെയ്യേണം .

 

Oro dhinavum  poyidumbol

DEham kshayichu thalarunnu

Ini oro mathra  vridhaa  kalayaathe

Shiva padarchana   cheyyenam

 

When every  day gets over,

Our body becomes  small and weak

Now  , without  wasting   even a second

WE have  to worship  feet of Lord  Shiva

 

അർത്ഥം കൊണ്ടു നാം

നേടുവതൊന്നും

ശാശ്വതമല്ലെന്നോർക്കെണം

അനർത്ഥമതേറേ വന്നു ഭവിക്കും

ശിവ നാമത്തെ മറന്നെന്നാൽ .

 

Artham kondu  naam ,

Neduvathonnum

SAswatham  allennu  oarkkanam

Anartham athu yere vannu bhavikkum

Shiva  Namathe  marannennal

 

With  money , all that, we get

Is not permanent  , you should  remember

Lot  of meaningless  this  will  come and happen

If we  forget  the name of Lord Shiva
