ஆடி வெள்ளியிலே - தாயின் சன்னதியில்
கூடி நின்றாடுதுங்கம்மா
அன்னை மாரியம்மா - அருள் தந்திடுவாள்
குங்குமம் தந்திடுவாள்

 

Aadi  velliyile-thaayin  sannidhiyil

Koodi  nindaaduthungammaa

Annai  maariyamma -arul  thanthiduvaal

Kumkumam thanthiduvaal

 

On the  Friday  of aadi month-before  the  temple  of mother

Standing   as a crowd  they are  dancing

Mother  Mariyamma would  shower  her grace

She would  give  Kumkum

 

ஆடி வெள்ளி காலையிலே அம்மா உந்தன் சந்நிதியில்
கோடி கோடி மக்கள் உன்னை பாடிப் பாடி வேண்டுகின்றார்
நாடி வரும் அன்பருக்கு வேண்டியதை தருபவளே
நம்பிக்கையின் நாயகியே அம்பிகையே சரணம் அம்மா [1]

 

Aadi  velli  kaalayile , amma un sannidhiyil

Kodi  kodi Makkal  unnai paadi  vendukindraar

Naadi  varum  anbarukku vendiyathai  tharubavale

Nambikkayin  nayakiye, Ambikaye  saranam  Amma

 

In the  morning of Friday of aadi month , oh mother before temple

Crores and crores of people  sing about you and request you

Oh goddess who gives what  they want  to the  devotees who come

Oh  Goddess  of faith, Oh Ambika ,  I surrender  to you mother

 

வான் பொழிந்து மழையாகி வையகத்தை செழிக்கச் செய்து
தேன் பொழியும் குரலோடு தேவி உன்னை துதிக்கின்றோம் [1]

 

Vaan pozhinthu  mazhayaaki vayyakathai   chezhikka  cheithu

Then  pozhiyum kuralodu  devi  unnai  thuthikindrom

 

Pouring from sky  and becoming rain , making the world  prosperous

With voice  that  pours  honey oh Goddess  we are praing you
