Asya Sri Rudra Kavacha stotra maha manythrasya Durvasa rishi, Anushtup chanda , Tryabaka rudro devatha, Om Bheejam, Hreem SAkthi, Kleem Keelakam , mama manobheeshta sidhyarthe jape viniyoga.
For the armour of Rudra which is a great prayer , tha sage is Durvasa, , the God addressed is the Rudra of Trambaka , Om is the root , Hreem is the power , Kleem is the nail and this is being chanted to fulfill the desires of my mind.
Dhyanam
Santham padmasanastham sasi dharamukutam panchavakthram trinethram,
Soolam vajram cha Gadgam parasumabhayadham Dakshinange vahantham,
Nagam pasam cha gandaam vara damaruyutham chambikaam vama bhage,
Nanalankarayuktham sphatikamaninbham Parvatheesam namami.
I salute the Lord of Parvathi , who is peaceful, sits on a lotus pose,
Who wears the moon on his crown , who has five faces and three eyes,
Who carries on his right hand soolam , Vajrayudha , axe and sign of protection,
Who carries on his left snake , rope , bell , blessed drum and the mother Goddess,
And who wears different type of ornaments and has the colour of crystal.
Durvasa uvacha:-
Sage Durvasa said:-
1.Pranamya sirasa devam , swayambhum Parameswaram,
Yekam sarvagatham devam sarva deva mayam vibhum.
After saluting by the head the God who was not born, who is the God of gods,
Who is one, who goes everywhere and the Lord who is all the Gods made in to one.
2.Rudra varma pravakshyami anga pranasya rakshane,
Ahorathrmayam devam rakshartham nirmitham puraa.
I am telling about the protection of Rudra , for the protection of limbs and soul,
Of that God who is everywhere during day and night,
Which was composed for the protection of devas in ancient times.
3.Nethrayo thrayambaka pathu, mukham pathu Maheswara,
Karnayo pathumay Shambhu, nasikayam sada shiva.
Let the three eyed one protect my eyes, let Maheswara protect my mouth,
Let Shambhu protect my ears and let Sadashiva protect my nose.
4.Rudram may chagratha pathu , pathu parswo harasthadha,
Siro may Easwara pathu , lalalatam neela lohitha.
Let Rudra protect my friend and let Hara protect my back,
Let the God Shiva protect my head and the blue coppered one protect my forehead.
5.Vageesa pathu may jihwam , oshtou pathu ambikapathi,
Sri kanda pathu may greevaam , bahum chaiva pinaka druk.
Let the lord of words protect my toungue , and let my lips be protected by Lord of Ambika,
Let the God with holy neck protect my neck and let the holder of Pinaka protect my arms
6.Hrudayam may Mahadeva, Easwaro avyath sthanantharam,
Nabhim , katrim cha Vakshascha pathu sarva Umapathi.
Let Mahadeva protect my heart and let Easwara protect my breasts,
Let my belly , waist and chest be all protected by the Lord of Uma.
7.Bahu Madhya antharam chaiva sookshma roopa Sadashiva,
Swaram rakshathu sarveso , gathrani yadha kramam.
Let the arm, the middle and what is inside be protected by Sadashiva of the micro form,
Let the God of all protected my voice as well as my body.
8.Vajra Shakthi dharam chaiva pasangusa dharam thadhaa,
Ganda soola dharam nithyam rakshathu tridaseswara.
Let the God of the ten directions who holds the Vajra as well as Shakthi ,
Who holds the rope and the Goad and ewho holds the bell and trident protect me daily.
9.Prasthaneshu pade chaiva , vruksha moole nadhi thate ,
SAndhyayam raja bhavane Virupakshasthu pathu maam.
Let the God with a slant eye protect during travel by walk , below a tree,
On the bank of river , during twilight and in palaces.
10.Seethoshna thadha kaleshu , thuhina drumakandake,
Nirmanushye asame marge thrahi maam vrusha dwaja.
Let the God with a bull in the flag protect me in times of winter and summer ,
And in cold woodden houses and in unknown roads with no body in sight.
11.Ithyedath Rudra kavacham pavithram paapanasanam,
Mahadeva prasadena durwaso muni kalpitha,
This is the armour of Rudra which destroys sins,
And which was composed by sage Durvasa by the grace of Lord Shiva.
12.Samakhyaatham samasena na bhayam vindathi kwachith,
Prapnothi paramaroghyam punyam ayushya vardhanam.
By fusion of this prayer , there would not be any fear .
And he would reach great health , blessed in nature and increases life span.
13.Vidhyarthi labhathe vidhyaam , Dhanarthi labhathe dhanam,
Kanyarthi labhathe kanyaam , na bhayam vidhathi kwachith.
He who wants knowledge would get it,
He who wants to get wealth will get it,
He wants a lady would get one ,
And there will never be any fear.
14.Aputhro Labhathe puthram , Moksharthi , mokshapnuyath,
Thrahi thrahi Mahadeva thrahi thrahi thrayeemaya.
He who does not have a son would get one ,
He who wants salvation will get it,
Protect , Protect , Mahadeva , Protect, Protect ,
Oh God who rests on the three Vedas.
15.Thrahi maam Parvathinadha , Thrahi maam Tripuranthaka,
Pasam Gadwanga divyasthram trisoolam rudramevacha.
Protect oh Consort of Parvathi,
Protect Oh destroyer of three cities,
Who holds the rope , sword , divine arrows and is very angry.
16.Namaskarothi devesa thrahi mam jagadheeswara,
Shathrumadhye , sabhamadhye , grama madhye , grahanthare.
I salute you lord of Gods , Protect me god of the universe,
In the middle of the enemy , in the middle of an assembly,
In the middle of a village and inside the house.
17.Gamanagamane chaiva thrahi maam bhaktha vathsala,
Thwam chitham thwam manasam cha thwam budhi sthwam parayanam.
Oh darling of devotes protect me while I am travelling alsi ,
For you are the mind , you are the brain , you are intelligence and you are everything.
18.Karmana manasa chaiva ,
Thwam budhischa yadha sadaa,
Jwarabhayam chindi sarva jwara bhayam ,
Chindi, grahabhayam chindi.
While acting and in my mind .
You are the brain always,
Remove fear of fever , Remove fear of all fevers ,
And remove the fear of planets.
19.Sarva shatroon nivarthyaapi , sarva vyadhi nivaranam,
Asya Rudra lokam sa gachathi ,
Sri Rudra lokam sa gachathi , om nama ithi
After removing all enemies and removing all diseases.
One would go to the land of Rudra
Go to Rudra Loka, Om and so.
Ithi Skanda purane Sri Rudra Kavacham sampoornam.
Thus ends the armour of Rudra which occurs in Skanda Purana.

Adhi Narayana Sthuthi
(The prayer to the primeval Narayana)
Rishaya Uvacha:-
Rishis told:-
1.Nama parama kalayana kalyanayathma yogine,
Janadhanaya devaya Sridharaya cha Vedase.
Salutations to the most auspicious one, who is a yogi with auspicious soul,
Who is God who takes care of people , Who is one carrying sree and one described by Vedas.
2.Nama Kamala kinjalka suvarna makutaya cha,
Kesavaya, athi sookshmaya brahat moorthe namo nama.
Salutations to him who wears a golden crown looking like a filament of a lotus,
Salutation and salutation to the killer of Kesi who is greatly micro as well as very gross.
3,Mahathmane varenyaya nama, Pankaja nabhaye,
Namosthu maaya haraye haraye harivedhase.
Salutations to him who is chosen by great souls,
And to the one having lotus on his navel,
Salutations to the one who removes illusion,
To the one who steals and the Hari of the Vedas.
4.Hiranya Garbha garbhaya Jagatha karanathmane,
Achyuthaya namo nithyam ananthaya namo nama.
Salutations and salutations to him who gave birth to Brahma ,
Who is the cause of the world , To Achyutha , to one who is forever and to the endless one.
5.Namo Pata channa Jagad dhamne Mahathmane,
Samsara Sagrothara Jnana potha pradhayine,
Akunta mathaye dhathre sarga sthithyantha karmane.
Salutations who is great and controls the world from behind the veil,
Who gives us wisdom to cross the sea of domestic life ,
Who knows everything , who carries and who maintains and destroys nature.
6. Yadahi Vasudevethi prokthe nasyathi pathakam,
Thadha vilayam abhyethu dhaithyoyam megavahanam.
If these about Vasudeva is told then sin would be destroyed,
And then the asuras would get dissolved by he who carried the cloud.
*Vishnu ones to carried Lord Shiva sitting on a cloud on his back
7.Yadha Vishnu swabhaktheshu papam aapnothi samsthitham,
Thadha vinasamayathu daithyoyam papa karma kruth.
Then Lord Vishnu would enduringly obtain the sins of his devotees from them,
As he destroys asuras as well as those who do sin.
8.Smrutha mathro yadha Vishnu sarva papam vyapohathi,
Thadha prana sabyethu daithyoyam meghavahanam.
Just by the thought of Lord Vishnu all sins would vanish,
As the souls of asuras along with them would be destroyed by Lord Vishnu.
9.Bhavanthu bhadarani samastha dosha ,
Prayanthu nasam jagadhoakhilasya,
Abhedhya bhakthya Parameswaresye,
Smruthe jagad dhathari Vasudeve.
All the bad qualities which are preserved,
Would be brought to destruction by the God of universe,
The world remembers Vasudeva the giver,
For the unalloyed devotion of Parameswara to him.
10.Ye bhoothale ye divi ye anthareekshe,
Rasathale prani ganasu sa kechith,
Bhavanthu they sidhiyutha narothama ,
Smruthe jagad dhathari Vasudeve.
This earth , this sky , this enviornment
This Rasathala and all the being that live in these places .
Would become full of strength , oh king ,
Remembers Vasudeva the giver.
11.Yea pranina kuthracchit athra santhi,
Brahmanda madhye parathascha kechith,
Thesham sidhi paramasthwa nindhya,
Sthuthe Jagad dhathari Vasudeve.
The beings situated any where would get great peace,
Though they are situated even beyond the universe,
And also Occult powers though they have found fault with great God,
If only they remember Vasudeva the giver.

12.Yashtham poojayathe ekadasyam narothama,
So Aswamedha phalam prapya modhathe divi Vedavath.
Oh great among men, if one worships me with this prayer on eleventh phase of moon,
He would get the benefit of performing a Aswamedha sacrifice and enjoy life in divine places.
13.Go Lakshanam Brahmanam dathwa yath phalaam prapnuyath nara,
Thad Aadhi deve Govinde drushti bhakthya phalam labeth.
That man gets the same benefit as gifting a perfect cow to Brahmin ,
Who sees with devotion the primeval God Govinda.
14.Kalou krutha yugam thesham keshtheshaam sukhadhika,
Aadhi narayano devao thesham heudaye samsthitha.
He who keeps the primeval God Govinda in his heart,
In Kali and Krutha Yugas will have more pleasure than suffering.
15.Ekadasyam ravi dhine snathwa sannihithaa jale,
AAdhi narayanam poojya muchyathe bhava bandanth.
He who takes bath in water and offers worship on a Sunday ,
Which is also the eleventh phase of the moon to The primeval Narayana,
Would get freedom from the bondage of accumulated sins.
16.Ithi they kadhitham devi Mahathmyam Vishnu daivatham,
Srutham papa haram nrunaam Daridrayougha vinasanam
What I have told you Oh Goddess , is the greatness of God Vishnu,
Hearing which destroys sins and would destroy the possibility of poverty.
Ithi Skaanda purane Ekasathi sahasryaam samithayam prabhasa kaande
Aadhi Narayana stotram sampoornam.
The prayer of primeval God Narayana which occurs in Skanda Puramma, in the 1011 chapter called the Chapter of Prahabasa.

Sri Surya Uvacha:-
Lord Sun told:-
1.Samba , samba Maha Baho srunu may kavacham shubham,
Trilokya mangalam nama kavacham paramadbutham.
Oh Samba , who is greatly valorous , please here from me the holy armour,
Which is auspicious to the three worlds and which is greatly wonderful.
2. Yajnathwa manthravith samyak phalam prapnothi nischitham,
Yadhruthwa cha Mahadevo Gananam adhipo bhaveth.
Using it as mantra in fire sacrifices surely it would lead to accurate results,
For Lord Shiva became the leader of the Ganas by wearing it.
3.Padanath dharanath Vishnu sarveshaam palaka sadaa,
Evam indraaya sarve sarvaisvarya mavapnuyu.
Reading and wearing it Lord Vishnu , became for all times protector of all,
And Indra got all the types of wealth .
4.Kavachasya rishir brahma Chando anushtubudhahrutha,
Sri Suryo devatha chathra sarva deva namasthutha,
To the armour the sage is Brahma, the meter is anushtup with a crooked turn,
The God addressed is the Sun God who is being saluted by all devas.
5.Yasa arogya moksheshu viniyoga prakeerthitha,
Pranavo may sira pathu , grunir may pathu phalakm.
This is being chanted to get fame, health and salvation.
Let the personification of Om protect my head,
Let the shining one protect my forehead.
6. Suryo avuyaa nayana dwandwa, Adhithya karna yugmakam,
Ashtaksharo maha manthra sarvabheeshta phala pradha.
Let Lord Sun protect both my eyes,
Let Adhithya protect both my ears,
The eight lettered manthra fulfill all my desires.
7.Hreem Bheejam may mukham pathu , Hrudayam bhuvaneswari,
Chandra bimbam vimsadadyam pathu may guhya desakam.
Let the root “Hreem” protect my mouth ,
Let The goddess of all the worlds protect my heart,
Let the moon along with his twenty assistants protect my private parts.
8.Aksharo asou Maha manthra , sarva thanthreshu gopitha,
Shivo vahni samayuktho vamakshi bindu bhooshitha,
Yekaksharo Maha Manthra Sri Suryasya prakeerthitha.
The perennial gold like great chant which is secret from all thanthras,
Is with the fire of Lord Shiva and the Dot of the Goddess with the left eye,
And that chant with one letter sings the glory of the Sun god.
9.Guhyad guhyatharo manthro Vancha Chinthamani smrutha,
Seershadhi pada paryantham sada pathu manuthama,
Let that mantra which is secret of secrets ,just by remembering which it fulfills all wishes,
And May it always protect from my head to toe , Oh greatest of Manus.
10.Ithi they kaditham divyam trishu lokeshu durlabham,
Sri pradham kanthidham nithyam Dhanarogya vivardhanam.
This which has been told is divine and is difficult to obtain in the three worlds,
And this would grant wealth , makes you shine forever and increase wealth and health.
11.Kushtadhi roga samanam, Maha vyadhi vinasanam,
Trisansandhyam ya padeth nithyam arogi balavan bhaveth.
This would cure leprosy and destroy all great diseases,
And by reading it at dawn, noon and dusk,
One would attain freedom from diseases and become strong.
12.Bahunaa kimihokthena yadyath manasi varthathe ,
Thath sarvam bhaveth thasya kavachasya cha dharanath.
He in whose heart if many desires reside ,
By wearing this armour all of them would be fulfilled.
13.Bhootha pretha pisachanchsca Yaksha Gandharva Rakshasa,
Brahma Rakshasa Vetala na drushtum api tham kshama.
Ghosts, dead souls , devils , Yakshas, Gandahrwas, Rakshasas,
Brahma Rakshasas , Vetalas cannot be seen anywhere near.
14.Dhooradeva palayanthe thasya sangeerthanad api,
Bhoorja pathre samalikhya rochanaa garu kumkumai.
15.Ravivare cha sankranthyam sapthamyam cha viseshatha,
Dharayeth Sadhaka sresta sa paro may priyo bhavedh.
If it is sung even from a distance it would protect ,
And if it is written on the leaves of birch tree ,
By the use of Saffron made of yellow pigment,
Specially On Sunday, or Month beginning, or seventh phase of moon
And if it is worn by the great devotee , he would become dear to me .
16. Tri loha madhyagam kruthwaa dharayedh Dakshine kare ,
Shikhayaam adhava kande sopi Suryo na samsaya.
If it is kept in the middle of three metals and worn on the right hand,
Or on hair or neck , he is equal to Sun without any doubt.
17.Ithi they kaditham Samba trilokyamangalabhidham,
Kavacham durlabham loke thava snehath prakasitham.
Oh Samba , that which I have told you is auspicious to the three worlds,
And is the armour which is difficult to obtain and has been told by me due to my love towards you.
18. Ajnathwa Kavacham divyam yo japeth Suryamuthamam,
Sidhirna jayathe thasya Kalp koti sathairapi.
Without knowing this divine armour , if one chants the name of the great Sun God,
He would not get any power , even if he does is it for crores of eons.
Ithi Sri Brahma Yamale , Trilokya mangalam nama ,
Soorya Kavacham sampornam.
This is the armour of the Sun called Auspiciousness to the three worlds,
Which occurs in Brahma Yamala.

8.Aksharo asou Maha manthra , sarva thanthreshu gopitha,
Shivo vahni samayuktho vamakshi bindu bhooshitha,
Yekaksharo Maha Manthra Sri Suryasya prakeerthitha.
The perennial gold like great chant which is secret from all thanthras,
Is with the fire of Lord Shiva and the Dot of the Goddess with the left eye,
And that chant with one letter sings the glory of the Sun god.
9.Guhyad guhyatharo manthro Vancha Chinthamani smrutha,
Seershadhi pada paryantham sada pathu manuthama,
Let that mantra which is secret of secrets ,just by remembering which it fulfills all wishes,
And May it always protect from my head to toe , Oh greatest of Manus.
10.Ithi they kaditham divyam trishu lokeshu durlabham,
Sri pradham kanthidham nithyam Dhanarogya vivardhanam.
This which has been told is divine and is difficult to obtain in the three worlds,
And this would grant wealth , makes you shine forever and increase wealth and health.
11.Kushtadhi roga samanam, Maha vyadhi vinasanam,
Trisansandhyam ya padeth nithyam arogi balavan bhaveth.
This would cure leprosy and destroy all great diseases,
And by reading it at dawn, noon and dusk,
One would attain freedom from diseases and become strong.
12.Bahunaa kimihokthena yadyath manasi varthathe ,
Thath sarvam bhaveth thasya kavachasya cha dharanath.
He in whose heart if many desires reside ,
By wearing this armour all of them would be fulfilled.
13.Bhootha pretha pisachanchsca Yaksha Gandharva Rakshasa,
Brahma Rakshasa Vetala na drushtum api tham kshama.
Ghosts, dead souls , devils , Yakshas, Gandahrwas, Rakshasas,
Brahma Rakshasas , Vetalas cannot be seen anywhere near.
14.Dhooradeva palayanthe thasya sangeerthanad api,
Bhoorja pathre samalikhya rochanaa garu kumkumai.
15.Ravivare cha sankranthyam sapthamyam cha viseshatha,
Dharayeth Sadhaka sresta sa paro may priyo bhavedh.
If it is sung even from a distance it would protect ,
And if it is written on the leaves of birch tree ,
By the use of Saffron made of yellow pigment,
Specially On Sunday, or Month beginning, or seventh phase of moon
And if it is worn by the great devotee , he would become dear to me .
16. Tri loha madhyagam kruthwaa dharayedh Dakshine kare ,
Shikhayaam adhava kande sopi Suryo na samsaya.
If it is kept in the middle of three metals and worn on the right hand,
Or on hair or neck , he is equal to Sun without any doubt.
17.Ithi they kaditham Samba trilokyamangalabhidham,
Kavacham durlabham loke thava snehath prakasitham.
Oh Samba , that which I have told you is auspicious to the three worlds,
And is the armour which is difficult to obtain and has been told by me due to my love towards you.
18. Ajnathwa Kavacham divyam yo japeth Suryamuthamam,
Sidhirna jayathe thasya Kalp koti sathairapi.
Without knowing this divine armour , if one chants the name of the great Sun God,
He would not get any power , even if he does is it for crores of eons.

One should purify his hands by the chants for cleaning ,
Meditate on the strength of the elder brother of Krishna,
And become completely full of Dharma.

Pareshu maam pathu pavithra keerthana,
Bhoomandalam saraspavad vilakshyathe ,
Yan moordhni maam pathu sa bhoomi mandale.
The master of Goloka*, who is the divine god,
Who has a spotless fame and who carries ,
The earth on his head like a mustard ,
May protect me who is in this world.
*Goloka is the land of heaven where devotes of Vishnu live.
4.Seneshu maam rakshathu sira panir ,
Yudhe sada rakshathu maam hali cha,
Durgeshu cha avyaan musali sada maam,
Vaneshu sankarshana aadhi deva.
Let him who carries on his head protect me from army,
Let the plough holder always protect me from war,
Let me protected from the fort by the holder of the mace,
Let the primeval God Sankarshana protect me from forests.
5.Kalindaja vega haro Jaleshu,
Nilambaro rakshathu maam sada agnou,
Vayo cha Ramo avathu , khe Bala cha,
Maharnave Anantha vapu sadaa maam.

Nagendra leelo aavathu maam Maha bala,

Let me be protected by the best of men from inside ,
Let the playful King of serpents protect me from outside,
Let the very strong one who is residing always within me as Hari,
Himself protect me as the complete great God.
12.Devasuranam Bhaya nasanam cha ,
Huthasanaam papa chaye indhanam,
Vinasanam vighna ghatasya vidhi,
Sidhasanam varma varam Balasya.
This armour destroys the fear of devas and asuras,
And is the fire that grows by burning away sins ,
And it completely removes obstacles on the way ,
For it is the best of armours dedicated to Balarama.

I think about Rama who is every second pretty,
Who has hands reaching up to his thighs , who has lotus like eyes,
Who is pure all his life, who has a smiling face ,
Who is black , who holds bow and arrow and has a generous form.
Asya Sri Rama Kavachasya Agasthya rishi , anushtup Chanda , Sita lakshmnaopetha Sri Ramachandra devathaa, Sri Ramachandra prasada sidhyarthe jape viniyoga.
For the armour of Sri Rama, the sage is Agasthya, the meter is Anushtup , The god addressed is Rama with his brother Lakshmana and Sita and the chanting is done to get the grace of Sri Ramachandra.

Komalangam Visalaksham yuvannam athi sundaram,
He is of the colour of blue cloud , wears shining coloured cloths,
Has pretty limbs , has broad eyes, is a lad and is very pretty.
3.Seetha soumithri sahitham jata makuta dharinam,
Sasi thoona dhanur bana panim dhanava mardhanam.
He is with Sita and Lakshmana , has his tufted locks as crown,
He is armed with a sword , bow and arrows and kills asuras.
4.Yadha chora bhaye , shatru bhaye thadhaa,
Dhyathwaa Raghupathim krudham kalanala sama prabham.
He becomes angry at the thieves and enemies and has the radiance of the deadly fire,
If someone out of fear for thieves or enemy remembers him as Lord of Raghu clan.
5.Cheera krishnajina dharam , basmodhoolitha vigraham,
Aakarna krushta shikha kodanda bhuja manditham.
He wears the hide of deer as cloth , his body is coated with ashes,
He has a strong hand by which he pulls his bow Kodanda till his ear.
6.Rane ripun Ravanadheem stheeshna margana vrushtibhi,
Samharantham Maha veera mugra maindra Radha sthitham.
He rode on the chariot given by Indra and by using rain of arrows ,
Killed his enemy Ravana in a war, he being a great valorous hero.
7.Lakshmanaadhyair maha veerai vrutham Hanumadhadhibhi,
Sugrwvadhyair Maha veerai shaila vruksha karodhyathai
8.Vegath karala humkarair bhubhukara maharavai,
Nadhadhbhi parivadhadhbhi samara Ravanam prathi,
He was supported by the penance of the great Hero Lakshmana as well as Hanuman and others,
Who was supported by great heroes Like Sugreeva who were armed with trees and mountains,
Accompanied by fast and dark utterance of “Hum” and creating great sounds like “bhu, bhu”,
And also supported by his devotees and others in the war against Ravana.
9.Sri Rama shatru sandhaan may hana mardhaya , khadhaya,
Bhootha pretha pisachadheen Sri Ramasu vinasaya.
Oh Rama , aim at the enemies and kill them, beat them and eat them,
And Oh Rama quickly destroy ghosts , dead souls and devils .
10.Yevam dhyathwa Japed Rama Kavacham Sidhi Dhayakam,
Sutheeshna vajra kavacham srunu Vakshyamyanuthamam.
Meditaing like this, chant the armour of Rama which grants you strength ,
And which is a sharp diamond armour .Please hear that matchless armour.

Let my eyes be protected by the lotus eyed one,
Let my nose be protected by the Royal sage ,
And let my neck be protected by the Lord of Janaki.
14.Karnamoole Kharadwamsi , phalam may RAghuvallabha,
Jihwam may Vakpathi pathu Dandhapankthi Raguthama.
Let the root of my ears be protected by the killer of Khara,
Let my forehead be protected by Lord of Raghu clan,
Let my toungue be protected by the Lord of words,
And the best among Raghus protect my row of teeth.
15.Oshtou Sri Ramachandro may Mukham pathu parathpaa,
Kantam pthu Jagat vandhya , skandhou may Ravananthaka
Let my lips be protected by Sri Ramachandra ,
Let my face be protected by the ultimate God,
Let my neck be protected by him who is worshipped by universe,
And let my shoulder be worshipped by killer of Ravana.
16.Dhanur bana dhara pathu Bhujou, may Bali mardhana,
Sarvanyanguli parvana hasthou may Rakshanthaka.
Let my arms be protected by one who is armed with bow and arrow,
Let all my fingers be protected by the killer of Bali,
And let my hands be protected by killer of Rakshasas.
17.Vaksho may pathu Kakustha , pathu may Hrudayam Hari,
Sthanou Sithapathi pathu parswam may Jagadheeswara.
Let Kakustha protect my chest ,
Let Hari protect my heart,
Let my breasts be protected by Lord of Sita,
And let my ribs be protected by God of the universe.
16.Madhyam may pathu Lakshmeeso , nabhim may Raghunayaka,
Kousalyeya kati pathu , prushtam durgathi nasana
Let my middle be protected by Lord of Lakshmi,
Let my navel be protected by the chief of Raghu clan,

And let my back be protected by he who destroys bad future.

OOru sarngadhara pathu Januni Hanumath Priya.

18.Jange pathu Jagat vyapi, Padhou may Thadakanthaka,
Sarvangam pathu may Vishnu , ,Sarva sandhhen anamaya.
Let my shanks be protected by he who has spread all over the universe,
Let my feet be protected by killer of Thadaga,
Lat all my body parts be protected by Lord Vishnu,
And let my all my joints be protected by he who is free from all diseases.
19.Jnanendriyani pranaadheen pathu may Madhusoodhana,
Pathu Sri Ramabhadro may Sabhdhadheen vishayanapi.
Let killer of Madhu protect all my senses of discrimination and my different airs,
Let Ramabhadra protect all my sounds and faculties .
20.Dwipadhadheeni bhoothani math sambandhini yani cha,
Jamadagnya maha darpa dalana pathu thani may.
Let all my human assistants , and spirits and all that,
Is concerning me be protected by the one,
Who removed the conceit of the son of Jamadagni.
21.Soumithri poorvaja pathu vagvadinidriyani cha,
Romanguranyaseshani pathu Sugreeva rajhyadha.
Let my organs necessary to control voice be protected by Elder brother of Lakshmana,
Let my hair pores and other organs be protected by he wjho made Sugreeva , the king.
22.Vang mano budhi ahankarait Jnana Ajnana kruthani cha,
Janmanthara kruthaneeha paapani vividhani cha
23. Thani sarvani dhdhwasu hara kodanda bandhana,
Pathu maam sarvatho rama Sarnga bana dhara sadaa.
Let all the various type of sins done in various births by,
Speech, mind , wisdom , egoism, , intelligence and ignorance,
May be pardoned by the Lord who tied the Kodanda bow,
Oh Rama , Oh holder of Saranga always protect me.
24.Ithi Ramachandrasya kavacham Vajra samjnitham,
Guhyad guhyathamam divyam Sutheeshna muni sathama
This is the armour of Ramachandra which is termed as diamond ,
And is the divine secret of secrets written by sage Sutheeshna.
25.Ya padeth srunayad vaa api sravaayedh vaa samahitha,
Sa yathi paramam sthanam Ramachandra prasadatha.
If this complete armour is read or heard or made to be heard by others ,
Then by the grace of God Ramachandra he would attain a great place.
26.Maha pathaka yuktho vaa ghoghno vaa broonahaa thadhaa,
Sri Ramachandra kavacham padanath shudhimapnuyath.
One who has done great crimes, has killed a cow or induced abortion,
Would be made greatly pure by reading the armour of Ramachandra.
27. Brahma hathyabhi paapair muchyathe nathra samsaya ,
Bho Sutheeshna yadha prushtam thwaya mama puraa shubham,
Thatha sri Rama Kavacham mayaa they viniveditham.
He would without any doubt get rid of sins like Brahma hathya,
So writes Sutheeshna to me so that I would be auspicious,
And thus I announce the armour of Sri Ramachandra.

He is armed with a sword , bow and arrows and kills asuras.
4.Yadha chora bhaye , shatru bhaye thadhaa,
Dhyathwaa Raghupathim krudham kalanala sama prabham.
He becomes angry at the thieves and enemies and has the radiance of the deadly fire,
If someone out of fear for thieves or enemy remembers him as Lord of Raghu clan.
5.Cheera krishnajina dharam , basmodhoolitha vigraham,
Aakarna krushta shikha kodanda bhuja manditham.
He wears the hide of deer as cloth , his body is coated with ashes,
He has a strong hand by which he pulls his bow Kodanda till his ear.
6.Rane ripun Ravanadheem stheeshna margana vrushtibhi,
Samharantham Maha veera mugra maindra Radha sthitham.
He rode on the chariot given by Indra and by using rain of arrows ,
Killed his enemy Ravana in a war, he being a great valorous hero.
7.Lakshmanaadhyair maha veerai vrutham Hanumadhadhibhi,
Sugrwvadhyair Maha veerai shaila vruksha karodhyathai
8.Vegath karala humkarair bhubhukara maharavai,
Nadhadhbhi parivadhadhbhi samara Ravanam prathi,
He was supported by the penance of the great Hero Lakshmana as well as Hanuman and others,
Who was supported by great heroes Like Sugreeva who were armed with trees and mountains,
Accompanied by fast and dark utterance of “Hum” and creating great sounds like “bhu, bhu”,
And also supported by his devotees and others in the war against Ravana.
9.Sri Rama shatru sandhaan may hana mardhaya , khadhaya,
Bhootha pretha pisachadheen Sri Ramasu vinasaya.
Oh Rama , aim at the enemies and kill them, beat them and eat them,
And Oh Rama quickly destroy ghosts , dead souls and devils .
10.Yevam dhyathwa Japed Rama Kavacham Sidhi Dhayakam,
Sutheeshna vajra kavacham srunu Vakshyamyanuthamam.
Meditaing like this, chant the armour of Rama which grants you strength ,
And which is a sharp diamond armour .Please hear that matchless armour.

Let Sri Rama protect my head ,

12.Uthare may Raghupathir , phalam Dasarathathmaja ,
Broovor dhoorva dala shyama asthayor Madhya Janardhana.
Let Lord of Raghu protect my north ,
Let son of Dasaratha protect my forehead,
Let my eyelids be protected by him who is black like the leaf of birch tree ,
And let the middle of my bones be protected by Janardhana.
13.Srothram pathu Rajendro drusou Rajeeva lochana,
Granam pathu Rajarshir Gandou may Janakipathi.
Let my ears be protected by Rajendra,
Let my eyes be protected by the lotus eyed one,
Let my nose be protected by the Royal sage ,
And let my neck be protected by the Lord of Janaki.
14.Karnamoole Kharadwamsi , phalam may RAghuvallabha,
Jihwam may Vakpathi pathu Dandhapankthi Raguthama.
Let the root of my ears be protected by the killer of Khara,
Let my forehead be protected by Lord of Raghu clan,
Let my toungue be protected by the Lord of words,
And the best among Raghus protect my row of teeth.
15.Oshtou Sri Ramachandro may Mukham pathu parathpaa,
Kantam pthu Jagat vandhya , skandhou may Ravananthaka
Let my lips be protected by Sri Ramachandra ,
Let my face be protected by the ultimate God,
Let my neck be protected by him who is worshipped by universe,
And let my shoulder be worshipped by killer of Ravana.
16.Dhanur bana dhara pathu Bhujou, may Bali mardhana,
Sarvanyanguli parvana hasthou may Rakshanthaka.
Let my arms be protected by one who is armed with bow and arrow,
Let all my fingers be protected by the killer of Bali,
And let my hands be protected by killer of Rakshasas.
17.Vaksho may pathu Kakustha , pathu may Hrudayam Hari,
Sthanou Sithapathi pathu parswam may Jagadheeswara.
Let Kakustha protect my chest ,
Let Hari protect my heart,
Let my breasts be protected by Lord of Sita,
And let my ribs be protected by God of the universe.
16.Madhyam may pathu Lakshmeeso , nabhim may Raghunayaka,
Kousalyeya kati pathu , prushtam durgathi nasana
Let my middle be protected by Lord of Lakshmi,
Let my navel be protected by the chief of Raghu clan,
Let my waist be protected by son of Kausalya,
And let my back be protected by he who destroys bad future.
17.Guhyam pathu hrishikesa , sakdhini Sathya Vikrama,
OOru sarngadhara pathu Januni Hanumath Priya.
Let my private parts be protected by Hrishikesa,
Let my thigh be protected by hero of truth,
Let my thigh be protected by holder of Sarnga,
Let my knee be protected by he who is liked by Hanuman.
18.Jange pathu Jagat vyapi, Padhou may Thadakanthaka,
Sarvangam pathu may Vishnu , ,Sarva sandhhen anamaya.
Let my shanks be protected by he who has spread all over the universe,
Let my feet be protected by killer of Thadaga,
Lat all my body parts be protected by Lord Vishnu,
And let my all my joints be protected by he who is free from all diseases.
19.Jnanendriyani pranaadheen pathu may Madhusoodhana,
Pathu Sri Ramabhadro may Sabhdhadheen vishayanapi.
Let killer of Madhu protect all my senses of discrimination and my different airs,
Let Ramabhadra protect all my sounds and faculties .
20.Dwipadhadheeni bhoothani math sambandhini yani cha,
Jamadagnya maha darpa dalana pathu thani may.
Let all my human assistants , and spirits and all that,
Is concerning me be protected by the one,
Who removed the conceit of the son of Jamadagni.
21.Soumithri poorvaja pathu vagvadinidriyani cha,
Romanguranyaseshani pathu Sugreeva rajhyadha.
Let my organs necessary to control voice be protected by Elder brother of Lakshmana,
Let my hair pores and other organs be protected by he wjho made Sugreeva , the king.
22.Vang mano budhi ahankarait Jnana Ajnana kruthani cha,
Janmanthara kruthaneeha paapani vividhani cha
23. Thani sarvani dhdhwasu hara kodanda bandhana,
Pathu maam sarvatho rama Sarnga bana dhara sadaa.
Let all the various type of sins done in various births by,
Speech, mind , wisdom , egoism, , intelligence and ignorance,
May be pardoned by the Lord who tied the Kodanda bow,
Oh Rama , Oh holder of Saranga always protect me.
24.Ithi Ramachandrasya kavacham Vajra samjnitham,
Guhyad guhyathamam divyam Sutheeshna muni sathama
This is the armour of Ramachandra which is termed as diamond ,
And is the divine secret of secrets written by sage Sutheeshna.
25.Ya padeth srunayad vaa api sravaayedh vaa samahitha,
Sa yathi paramam sthanam Ramachandra prasadatha.
If this complete armour is read or heard or made to be heard by others ,
Then by the grace of God Ramachandra he would attain a great place.
26.Maha pathaka yuktho vaa ghoghno vaa broonahaa thadhaa,
Sri Ramachandra kavacham padanath shudhimapnuyath.
One who has done great crimes, has killed a cow or induced abortion,
Would be made greatly pure by reading the armour of Ramachandra.
27. Brahma hathyabhi paapair muchyathe nathra samsaya ,
Bho Sutheeshna yadha prushtam thwaya mama puraa shubham,
Thatha sri Rama Kavacham mayaa they viniveditham.
He would without any doubt get rid of sins like Brahma hathya,
So writes Sutheeshna to me so that I would be auspicious,
And thus I announce the armour of Sri Ramachandra.

Hear oh son who is a great sage , the most wonderful armour.

Rishi chandho devatha cha sada Narayana Prabhu ,
This armour which was personally taught by Narayana to Indra and other devas,

The meter and God addressed are Narayana himself.
Asya Sri trilokya vijayakshya kavachasya Prajapathi rishi, anushtup Chanda , Sri Narayana Paramathma devatha, Dharmartha kama moksharthe jape viniyoga.
For the perennial armour leading to victory over the three worlds, the sage is Prajapathi , meter is anushtup , the God addressed is Lord Narayana and this is being chanted to get Dharma , wealth , desires , and salvation.

Let Govinda protect my feet and let my calf be protected by the Lord of the universe.

13.Nibhruyath kavacham punyam sarva sidhi yutho bhave,
Kande yo dharayedath kavacham mathsya roopinam
14.YUdhe Jayamapnothi dhyuthe vadhe cha sadhaka,
SArvadhaa jayamapnothi , nischitham janma janmani.
I cannot fully describe the effect of this very friendly narration to you,
And if the practitioner wears it on his right hand,
Without doubt devas, men , gandharwas and Yakshas would be his.
If a lady wears it on her left hand and a man on his right hand,
And chants the Armour , he or she would get all occult powers.
But if the armour in the fish form is worn on the neck,
He would achieve victory in war and also in debates,
And always surely achieve victory birth after birth.
15. Aputhro labhathe puthram , roganasasthadha bhaveth ,
Sarva thapa pramukthascha , Vishnu lokam sa gachathi
One without son will get a son , diseases and illness would be destroyed.
One would get freedom from all troubles and he would go to the land of Vishnu.
Ithi Sri Brahma samhithayam Sri Gopalakshaya kavacham sampoornam.

Kali's paramount place of worship is in the cremation ground, preferably at the dead of night, on a suitable day of the waning Moon. Here, her nature becomes clear and apparent. For an adept in the worship, the whole world is a cremation ground, and She, the true form of time, who by herself creates and destroys all, is personified as the pyre. There, after life, all mortals and their wishes, dreams and reflections come to their fruition, a pile of worthless ashes.”

Adbutham kavacham devyaa Sarva kama prasadakam.
I am seeing you who is the great goddess who formulated all Dharmas,
And would tell you that wonderful armour of the Goddess which helps to fulfill all wishes.
5.Viseshatha shathru nasam sarva rakshakaram nrunaam,
Sarvarishta prasamanam , sarvaabhadra vinasanam.
Specially it destroys all enemies and protects all beings,
And pacifies all problems and destroys all great dangers.
6.Sugadham bhogadham chaivavaseekaranamuthamam,
Shatru sanga kshayam yanthi bhavanthi vyadhi peeditha.
It leads to pleasures, makes available enjoyments and also results in great attraction,
And it reduces the number among groups of enemies and they would all be affected by illness.
7.Dukhino , jwarnam chaiva Swabheeshta drohina sthadha,
Bhoga moksha pradham chaiva kalika kavacham padeth.
For those with sorrows or fever or those with selfish enemies ,
A reading of the armour of Kalika grants enjoyment and salvation

Om for the armour of Mahakali , the sage is Bhairava , the meter is anushtup , the goddess is Maha Kali and it is being read to kill all ones enemies.

Chathur bhujaam lalajihwam , poorna chandra nibhananaam.
I meditate on that Kali, who is a great enchantress, has three eyes,
Who has several forms, who has four hands. Who has a wagging toungue,
And who resembles the full moon in her form.
9.Neelothpala dala shyaamaam , shathru sanga vidharineem,
Nara mundam thadha gadgam, kamalam cha varam thadha.
She is of the colour of the petal of the flower of the blue lily,
She drives away the enemy crowd and she carries in her hand,
The headless corpse of men and carries a sword, lotus flower and shows the hand in form of blessing.
10.Nirbhayaam Raktha vadanaam , damshtrali ghora roopineem,
Sa aatahasa asana sthudhaam , devim sarvadaan cha digamaram.
She is without any fear , has a blood drenched face,
She is fierce looking, , She is worshipped by saints,
She is Sitting on yogic pose, She is goddess who is everywhere,
And has a clothing resembling the eight directions.
11.Savasana sthithaam kalim munda mala vibhooshithaam,
Ithi dhyathwaa Maha Kalim thasthu kavacham padeth.
Meditating on Mahakali as sitting in the yogic pose of corpse ,
And decorating herself with a garland of severed heads,
You have to read this armour.

Vairi nasaya vandhe tham kalikaam Sankara priyaam.
Oh Goddess who killed Shumbhasura and then the great asura called Nishumbha,
I salute you , who is Kalika and one dear to Lord Shiva for destruction of my enemies

23.Vairina pralayam yanthi vyaadhithaa vaa bhavanthi hi,
Balaheenaa puthraheenaa Sasthra vasthasya sadhaa.
His enemies , with the speed of flood would be affected by disease,
And his enemies will always be weak and without sons.
24.SAhasra padanath sidhi kavachasya bhaveth thada,
Thath karyaani cha sidhyanthi yadha Sankara bashitham.
Those who read it one thousand times would get mastery,
And his jobs would be very easily done like the talk of Lord Shiva.
25.Smasana angaaramaadhaya choornam kruthwa prayathnatha,
Padhodhakena pishtwaa thallikhelloha sakhaya,
26.Bhoomou sathrun heena roopanthara sirasa sthadha,
Hastham dathwa thu hrudaye kavacham thu swayam padeth.
27.Sathro prana prathishtam thu kuryath manthrena manthra vith,
Hanyadasthra prakarena Sathro gacha yamakshayam.
28.Jabhad angara thapena bhavanthi jwaritha brusam,
Prochannair vamapadena daridro bhavathi druvam.
( I am not translating these slokas as I am not at all conversant with Thanthric forms of worship of the Goddess and I may give a wrong and dangerous import to these verses.)
29.Vairi nasakaram proktham kavacham vasyakarakam ,
Paramaiswarydham chaiva puthra pouthra vrudhikaram.
Apart from resulting in destruction of enemies, this prayer ,
Can attract people , result in great wealth and increase, the number of your sons and grand sons.
30.Prabhata samaye chaiva poojaa kale cha yathnatha,
SAyamkale thadha paatath sarva sidhir bhaved dhruvam
If read in the morning or at the time of worship,
Or in the evening , it is definite that you would get occult powers.
31.Sathru rucchadanam yathi desaath vaa vichytho bhaveth,
Paschad kinkarathamethi sathyam sathyam na samsaya.
Chanting it against enemies , you would be able to free your country,
And later make them your slaves. This no doubt is the truth.
32. Sathru nasa kare devi sarva sampath kare shubhe ,
Sarva deva sthuthe devi Kalike thwaam namamyaham.
I salute you Kalika who is the goddess who kills the enemies,
Who is capable of blessing with all type of wealth,
Who is auspicious and is the prayed by all devas.
Ithi Rudra Yamale Kalika kavacham sampoornam
Thus ends the armour of Kali which occurs in Rudra Yamala.

Kali's paramount place of worship is in the cremation ground, preferably at the dead of night, on a suitable day of the waning Moon. Here, her nature becomes clear and apparent. For an adept in the worship, the whole world is a cremation ground, and She, the true form of time, who by herself creates and destroys all, is personified as the pyre. There, after life, all mortals and their wishes, dreams and reflections come to their fruition, a pile of worthless ashes.”

Oh God, Oh deva of devas, Oh lord of the pleasure of the devas,
Oh Great God , please tell me that secret, if it is permitted,
By which enemies can be destroyed and souls can be protected,
As I want it from your word as you are the incomparable God.

4.Vakshyami they maha devi Sarva dharma vidhamvara,
Adbutham kavacham devyaa Sarva kama prasadakam.
I am seeing you who is the great goddess who formulated all Dharmas,
And would tell you that wonderful armour of the Goddess which helps to fulfill all wishes.
5.Viseshatha shathru nasam sarva rakshakaram nrunaam,
Sarvarishta prasamanam , sarvaabhadra vinasanam.
Specially it destroys all enemies and protects all beings,
And pacifies all problems and destroys all great dangers.
6.Sugadham bhogadham chaivavaseekaranamuthamam,
Shatru sanga kshayam yanthi bhavanthi vyadhi peeditha.
It leads to pleasures, makes available enjoyments and also results in great attraction,
And it reduces the number among groups of enemies and they would all be affected by illness.
7.Dukhino , jwarnam chaiva Swabheeshta drohina sthadha,
Bhoga moksha pradham chaiva kalika kavacham padeth.
For those with sorrows or fever or those with selfish enemies ,
A reading of the armour of Kalika grants enjoyment and salvation
Om asya Sri Kalika kavachasya Bhairava rishi , anushtup Chanda , sri Kalika devatha , Shatru samharattham jape viniyoga
Om for the armour of Mahakali , the sage is Bhairava , the meter is anushtup , the goddess is Maha Kali and it is being read to kill all ones enemies.

8.Dhyayeth kalim Maha mayaam , trinethraam bahu roopineem,
Chathur bhujaam lalajihwam , poorna chandra nibhananaam.
I meditate on that Kali, who is a great enchantress, has three eyes,
Who has several forms, who has four hands. Who has a wagging toungue,
And who resembles the full moon in her form.
9.Neelothpala dala shyaamaam , shathru sanga vidharineem,
Nara mundam thadha gadgam, kamalam cha varam thadha.
She is of the colour of the petal of the flower of the blue lily,
She drives away the enemy crowd and she carries in her hand,
The headless corpse of men and carries a sword, lotus flower and shows the hand in form of blessing.
10.Nirbhayaam Raktha vadanaam , damshtrali ghora roopineem,
Sa aatahasa asana sthudhaam , devim sarvadaan cha digamaram.
She is without any fear , has a blood drenched face,
She is fierce looking, , She is worshipped by saints,
She is Sitting on yogic pose, She is goddess who is everywhere,
And has a clothing resembling the eight directions.
11.Savasana sthithaam kalim munda mala vibhooshithaam,
Ithi dhyathwaa Maha Kalim thasthu kavacham padeth.
Meditating on Mahakali as sitting in the yogic pose of corpse ,
And decorating herself with a garland of severed heads,
You have to read this armour.

Oh Goddess whose form is “Sreem Hreem Iym “ and who releases us from ties of this world,

15.Yaya shumbho hatho dhaithyo , Nishumbascha Mahasura,
Vairi nasaya vandhe tham kalikaam Sankara priyaam.
Oh Goddess who killed Shumbhasura and then the great asura called Nishumbha,
I salute you , who is Kalika and one dear to Lord Shiva for destruction of my enemies

Oh goddess of devas. Oh one with fierce form . Oh killer of Chanda and Munda,
Oh One who wears garland of severed heads , Always protect me from every one.
