ദൈവമേ കൈതൊഴാം കേൾക്കുമാറാകണം

പാവമാമെന്നെ നീ കാക്കുമാറാകണം

 

Deivame Kai thozhaam Kelkuumarakanam

Paavamaam yenne  kaakuumaarakanam

 

Oh God  , I salute you  , be pleased  to hear

Be pleased to save  me  who is innocent

 

എന്നുള്ളിൽ ഭക്തിയുണ്ടാകുമാറാകണം

നിന്നെ ഞാനെന്നുമേ കാണുമാറാകണം

 

Yennullil  Bakthiyundumaaraakanam

Ninne  jnaanyennume  kaanumaaraakanam

 

DEvotion should rise   inside  me

I should  be able   to see  you  forever

 

നേർവഴിക്കെന്നെ നീ കൊണ്ടുപോയീടണം

നേർവരും സങ്കടം ഭസ്മമാക്കീടണം

 

Ner vazhikkenne  nee  kondu poyeedenam

Ner varum   sangatam basmam aakkedenam

 

You  should   take  me through  the  proper  path

You should  turn to ash the  sorrows  that  come  before me

 

ദുഷ്ടസംസർഗം വരാതെയായീടണം

ശിഷ്ടരായുള്ളവർ തോഴരായീടണം

 

Dushta  samsargam  varaathe  aayeedenam

Sishtaraayullvar   thozharayeedenam

 

Bad   company  should not come  before me

Good  disciplined  people  should  become my friends

 

നല്ലകാര്യങ്ങളിൽ പ്രേമമുണ്ടാകണം

നല്ലവാക്കോതുവാൻ ത്രാണിയുണ്ടാകണം

 

Nalla  Kaaryangalil premamundakenam

Nalla  vaakkothuvaan  thraniyundaakenam

 

I should get love  in  good  things

I should have  strength to tell good words

 

കൃത്യങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യുവാൻ ശ്രദ്ധയുണ്ടാകണം

സത്യം പറഞ്ഞീടാൻ ശക്തിയുണ്ടാകണം

ദൈവമേ കൈതൊഴാം കേൾക്കുമാറാകണം."

Sathyangal paranjeedaan  sakthiyundaakenam

Divame  Kai thozham kelkuumaaraakanam

 

I should  have  concentration(attention)   to do good things

I should have  strength  to tell the truth
