Sri Sri Sri  Maha  Periyava Karavalamba  Stotram

Prayer  to  Mahaperiyava  to give  a helping hand

1.ப்ராதஸ்மராமி பவதீய முகார விந்தம்
மந்தஸ்மிதம் ச ஜனிதா பஹாரம் ஜனனாம்
சம்பத்கரீம் ச பவதோத்ர கடாக்ஷ லக்ஷ்மீம்
காஞ்சீ மடேச மமதேஹி கராவலம்பம்

1.Prathar  smaraami  bhavatheeya mukaravindam

Mandasmitham cha janithapahaaram  janaanaam

Sampathkareem cha bhavathodhara kadaksha  Lakshmim

Kanchi  matesa mama  dehi  karavalambam

 

In the morning  , I think about   his lotus  like face,

Whose  pretty smile, would steal  the  ill of birth  cycle  from people,

And whose side long glance would remove  their karma  and make them wealthy,

Oh  lord  of the Kanchi mutt, please extend   your hand of support

 

2.ப்ராதஸ்மராமி கலிதோஷ ஹராணி யாணி
ஹ்ருத்யானி த்வய மதுராணி மனோஹராணி
வாக்யானி தேத்ய வதனாம் புஜ நிர்கதானி
காஞ்சீ மடேச மமதேஹி கராவலம்பம்

 

2.Prathar   smaraami kali dosha  haraani  yaani

Hrudhyaani , madhuraani  , manoharaani,

Vaakhya    thwadheeya vakthrambuja   nirgathaani

Kanchi  matesa mama  dehi  karavalambam

 

In the  morning  , I think  about him who removes  ills of  Kali age,

And I think of his  heart, which is sweet as  well  as pretty,

And his lotus  like face from which  your speech  is born,

Oh  lord  of the Kanchi mutt, please extend   your hand of support

 

3.வக்ஷஸ்தலம் விமலஹேம சமான வர்ணம்
பஸ்மாங்கிதம் ஜனமனோஹர குங்குமார்தம்
ப்ராதஸ்மராமி பவதோத்ர சிரம் மஹாத்மன்
காஞ்சீ மடேச மமதேஹி கராவலம்பம்

 

3.Vaksha sthalam, vimala   hema  samana  varnam

Basmankhitham, jana  manohara  kumkumardhram

Pratha   smarami bhavathodhara  siro mahathman

Kanchi  matesa mama  dehi  karavalambam

 

In the morning , I think  his chest which has gold  like colour

Where  sacred  ash has been applied along with pretty  kukum,

And  I also think     about  your head   which lifts people   from mire of Samsara,

Oh  lord  of the Kanchi mutt, please extend   your hand of support

 

4.மத்தேவ துல்ய கமனம் ச நிரீஷ்ய தேத்ய
யாத்வா வனாந்தர மனந்த கஜாச்சலீன:
ப்ராதஸ்மராமி கஜராஜ கதிம் தவேதம்
காஞ்சீ மடேச மமதேஹி கராவலம்பம்

4.Math deva  thulya  gamanam  cha  nirreekshya  thwadheeyam

Yaathwaa   vananthara anantha   gajascha  leena

Pratha smarai gaja raja gathim    thavedham,

Kanchi  matesa mama  dehi  karavalambam

 

In the morning I think about you whose gait is  equal to  God,

As also   your sight which  is like that  of an elephant deep in side  forest,

And  your method  of walking  similar to  the walk of an elephant  king,

Oh  lord  of the Kanchi mutt, please extend   your hand of support

 

5.தக்க்ஷேண தண்ட மவலப்ய ஸதைத்ய ரேண:
ஹஸ்தேன சாரு கலசம் ச விராஜ மானாம்
ரக்தாம்பரம் ச தவசாரு கடீஸ்மராமி
காஞ்சீ மடேச மமதேஹி கராவலம்பம்

5.Dakshena   dandam avalambhya   chotharena

Hasthena    charu kalasam    suviraja manam

Rakthambaram cha    thava   charu  kati   smarami

Kanchi  matesa mama  dehi  karavalambam

 

I   think of him   as one who holds   the staff in his right hand,

And    shining   holding    the  pretty   water pot in his left hand,

And his  pretty   form   , dressed   in a  red   cloth,

Oh  lord  of the Kanchi mutt, please extend   your hand of support

 

6.விஸ்ம்ருத்ய தோஷமகிலம் ச ஸமமாப்ராதும்
த்ராதும் ச யாத்ய பகவன் க்ருதபக்த தீக்ஷா:
ப்ராதஸ்மராமி யதிபுங்கவ தேனுகம்பாம்
காஞ்சீ மடேச மமதேஹி கராவலம்பம்

 

6.Vismruthya dosham akhilam cha kshamaam  pradaathum

THraathum cha  yaathya  bhagawan krutha baktha  dheekshaa

Pratha   smarami yathi  pungava   dhenu   kampaam,

Kanchi  matesa mama  dehi  karavalambam

 

I think of him  as one   who forgets  all  defects of people, grants them his  pardon,

Protects   people  like   a god   and grants   the  devotees  Deeksha,

And    who is a  very great  sage who has  great  pity  to coes,

Oh  lord  of the Kanchi mutt, please extend   your hand of support

 

7.ப்ராதஸ்மராமி பவதீய பதாரவிந்தம்
யஸ்மாத் ப்ராயந்தி துரிதாணி மஹாந்திதாணி
ஆயாந்தி தாணி முஹருத்ய சுமங்களானி
காஞ்சீ மடேச மமதேஹி கராவலம்பம்

 

7.Prathar   smarami   bhavadheeya  padhaara  vindham

Yasmath   prayaanthi durithaani mahaanthithaani

Aayaanthi thaanimukharuhya sumano  galaani,

Kanchi  matesa mama  dehi  karavalambam

 

In the morning   I  remember   your  lotus like feet,

By which   very great   sufferings would run away.

And  the thoughts   of good minds would   come up,

Oh  lord  of the Kanchi mutt, please extend   your hand of support

 

8.ஸ்னானாச்ச பானாச்ச நிஷேவனாச்ச
த்யானாச்ச பாபநிலயம் ப்ராயாந்தி
ஹேதீர்த்த பாதானு சர்வ பதம்தே
தீர்த்தம் ச தீர்த்தி சரணம் பஜாமி
காஞ்சீ மடேச மமதேஹி கராவலம்பம்

 

8.Snanaascha panaascha , nishevanaascha,

Dhyaanaascha papaani  layam prayaanthi

Hey theertha padhaanu sarva  padham they,

Theertham cha  theertha  charanam bhajaami
Kanchi  matesa mama  dehi  karavalambam.

 

While  taking bath  ot eating  or drinking ,

The  thought  of him     drives  away all the sins,

And  I  pray that  Theertha for   salvation,

And I salute  that Theertha  and his feet,

Oh  lord  of the Kanchi mutt, please extend   your hand of support
