1.Malar mel  madhavi  marbakathe

Kulavum oru kumkuma  neelavane

Malar  thamarai  kannudai naykane

Nalame pera katharul   Venkadavaa

 

OhBlue one  with whom the red mAdhavi  ,

On the flowers  is prattling  on his chest

Oh Lord who has eyes  like lotus flower

Oh Lord of Venkada protect me so that  I get all the good

 

2.Marai  nan muka , Iymuka, aarumuka

Periyorkalin cheer migu thalai  maniye

Saranagathi yenbavarkku anburave

Perum  nidhi  kaatharul  Venkadava

 

Oh the famous  head gem  of the Vedas and,

Gods  with four , five    as well as six heads

To fall in love to those  who say   surrender  tp you

Oh  Lord of Venkada protect  the very big treasure

 

3.Pothu  yellaikal   thaandiya paavamathai

Nithame  purinthu   innum purivathile

Athi vegame  kondulla yengalaye

Ithamaakave  Katharul  Venkadavaa

 

Oh lord  we are daiily doing the sins   which have  crossed

The normal boundaries and further

Showing high speed in doing them

And please  protect us  with softness  , Oh lord of Venkada

 

4.Arul eevathil aarvamao nee  adiyaar

Varam  vendiyathai vida   eebavane

Perum nan marai othidum  oru porule

Thiru marbane, Katharul,Vengadavaa

 

You who are  anxious to bless, grant  boons

Which are larger  than what is demanded  by devotees

Oh one thing which is studied by the great  four Vedas

Oh Lord with Lakshmi on chest, protect me, Oh Lord Venkada

 

5.  Nayam cher  isaikkum   kuzhal  innamuthaal

Vayam aayidum gopiyar   choozhbavane

Mayal  kamanin per yezhil kodi perum

Muyalve , yemmai kaatharul   venkadava

 

 

He who is surrounded  by Gopis who are attracted by

The sweet nectar  like music  played from  the sophisticated flute

Who are  trying to get   the  handsomeness  of love god

Please  protect  me  , Oh Lord Venkada

 

6.Palar  pothridum  per arul   moorthiyane

Nalame  punar sithayin  nayakane

Thalir  meniyane, oru villavane

Oliye , yemai kaathu arul Venkadava

 

Oh God with greatly blessed  form , praised by many

The Lord of Sita who wishes only for his good

He who has a tender body who has only one bow

Oh light, please protect us Oh Lord Venkada

 

7.Iru thamarai poothidum  chanthiranai

Thiru seethayin kelvanai  nindravane

Irul  ravananukku oru siooriyane

SAranamaayinom , Katharul  venkadava

 

He who stood as a darling  of Sita

Like  the moon where  where two lotus flowers flower

He was the sun to the dark   Ravana

We are surrendering to you, Oh Lord Venkada

 

8.Neriyaar adangin  urai  yeliyavane

Thiru thayinai  deviyai  pethravane

Pirar  yaarudaya  thaalayum  vanangilame

Periyoi yemai  kaatharul Vengadava

 

He who becomes simple  , if good people submit

He who has divine  mother as his  wife

W have not saluted any other  one’s feet

Oh great onr , Oh Lord  of Vengada  protect us

 

Thiru  vengadesa nadhane  , nadhan nee

Oru vengadesa   unnaye  yenninom

Peru vengadesa, ninnaye , ninnaye

Arul vengadesa, arul  vengadavaa

 

Oh divine Lord Vengada , You only  are lord

One vengadesa , we thought only of you

Oh big vengadesa, only you, only you

Mudiyaamyaal, indru unai   thozha  purinthom

Adi  pothridum  nithiyarkku   arulvathu  poal

Adiyenayum kaathu arul   vengadesa

 

Since for a  long time   we   were  not able,

To salute you, We understood   to salute you today

Similar to your blessing your regular devotees  who praise your feet
