And mention that I have already translated  five dasvatara  stotras ,

Written  in Malayalam earlier)

 

1.Mathsyathil  ninnu thudangunna ninnude

Vismayam oronnum  kumbidunnen

Vedathe   veendoru vedantha saarame

Yogeswara  potri  kumbidunnen

 

I salute  each  of  your   wonders,

Starting   with Mathsya(fish)

Oh essence of Vedas who recovered  Vedas

Oh God of Yogas, I praise  and salute you

 

2.THoyam kadayuvan  koormamayi  vannoru

Karma mahathmyavum  kumbidunnen

Bhoo bhaaram theerkkan, hiranyaakshane  konna

Sri varahathine  kumbidunnen

 

I salute the  greatness  of  duty  who came,

As turtle(korma) to churn   the ocean

I salute the boar(Varaha)  who  killed,

Hiranyaksha to lighten  the burden of earth

 

3.Thoonil  ninnu  unarnna Narasimha  moorthiye

Kesadhi  padhavum  Kumbidunnen

Bhoolokam okke alannoru vamana,

Padambuja  dwandwam kumbidunnen

 

I salute   from   head  to foot  ,

The God  Narasimha  who woke  up from  the pillar

I salute   the  two  lotus  like  feet  of Vamana

Who measured all  the earth

 

4.Renuka nandanan aakiya Ramande

Komala  roopavum  kumbidunnen

Tretha  yugathile  Sita  pathiyeyum

Kauthukathode  jnan  kumbidunnen

 

I salute   the   very  pretty  form of Rama

Who  was  the  son  of  Renuka

With  great   wonder  I salute ,

The  husband of Sita of the  tretha yuga

 

5.Rohini   garbhathil  aakarshanam cheitha

Sri  Balabadhrane  Kumbidunnen

AArthiyum  hruthum   oru  poal harikkum

Moorthiyaam krishnane kumbidunnen

 

I  salute   that  Balabadhra(Balarama)

Who made  attractions in the womb of Rohini

I salute    the  God   who  is Krishna

Who destroyed pride and the wrong  doing

 

6.Yi kali kaalathe vibhrama  moorthiyaam

Kalkiye  kalpichu  kumbidunnen

SAnthapam agathum purushathva

SAchidanandathe  Kumbidunnen

 

I salute  the imaginary  form of Kalki

Who removes the restlessness of this Kali age

I  salute  the divine joy who is

The  manliness  which removes  sorrow
