அன்னமதில் அமர்ந்திருந்து அருள்புரிபவளே
அருங்கலைகள் அனைத்திற்கும் அன்னை நீயே
அன்னமதாய் வடிவெடுத்தோன் அருள் நாயகியே
அன்னையே அம்பிகையே சரஸ்வதி தேவி                               (அன்ன)

 

Annamathil  amarnthirunthu   arul  puripavale

Arum  kalaikal   anaithirkkum  Annai  neye

Anaamathaai  vadiveduthon  arul  Nayakiye

Annaye  Ambikaye  , Saraswathi devi (Annam)

 

She who blesses  sitting on a swan

To all  great  arts you  are  the mother

To one who takes  the form of swan  you are  the  leader  who blesses

Oh mother  , Oh Ambika, Oh  Goddess Saraswathi  (annam)

பாரதியைப் பாமாலை புனைந்திடச்செய்தாய்
பாரதியே உன் பாதம் சரணடைந்தேனே
பக்தியுடன் பரவசமாய்ப் பாடிடுவோரைப்
பல்லாண்டு வாழ்ந்திடவே செய்திடுவாயே                               (அன்ன)

Bharathiyai  paamaalai  punainthida  cheithai,

Bharathiye  un paadham  Saran adainthene

Bhakthiyudan  parasamai  paaduvorai

Pallandu vaazhnthidave Cheithiduvaaye  (Annam)

 

You made  BHarathiyar  to compse garland  of poems

Oh Bharathi  , I have surrendered  to your feet

Those who sing with ecstacy and devotion

Would be made  to live several  years by you (Annam)

வெள்ளைத் தாமரையில் கொலு வீற்றிருப்பாய்
வெள்ளை உள்ளம் கொள்ளவே செய்திடும் தாயே
கூத்தனூர் உறைகின்ற வீணா வாணியே
கூடிக்கூடி உன் பாதம் பணிந்திடச்செய்வாய்                               (அன்ன)

 

Vellai thamrayil kolu veethru  iruppai

Vellai ullam  kollave  cheithidum Thaaye

Koothanoor  uraikindra Veenaa Vaniye

Koodi  koodi  un padham  paninthida  cheivai  (Annam)

 

You would sit majestically  on White lotus flower

Oh mother  who makes us have  a pure heart

Oh player  of Veena who is in Koothanoor temple

You will make people  join together and bow  to your feet  (Annam)

வீணையில் கானத்தை எழுப்பியே எந்தன்
வீணான சஞ்சலத்தைப போக்கிடும் தாயே
வித்தைகளைக் கற்றிடவே விழைந்திடுவோரை
விதம் விதமாய் அத்தனையும் கற்றிடச்செய்வாய்                   (அன்ன)

 

Veenayil  ghanathai  yezhuppiye yenthan

Veenaana  Chanchalathai  pokkidum  thaaye

Vithaikali katridave  vizhainthiduvorai

Vidham vidhamai , Athanayum  katrida  cheivai  (Annam

 

Raising  music  in the  vena, you will

Remove  my needless worries  of mind, Oh mother

To those  who are  interstedin learning   knowledge

You wil them make them learn them  , in different different ways (annam)

கண்ணிமைக்கும் நேரத்திலும் காட்சி தரும் தாயே
பண்ணிசைக்கும் திறம் தனையே எனக்களித்திடுவாய்
உண்மையாய் உன்னையே நம்பிடுவோரின்
எண்ணங்களை உளமார நிறைவேற்றிடுவாய்                           (அன்ன)

 

Kan imaikkum  nerathilum  kakshi  tharum thaaye

Pan isaikkum  thiram thanaye yenakku alithiduvai

Unmayai  unnaye  nambiduvorin

Yennangalai ulamaara  niraivetriduvai

 

Oh Mother  who comes before me  even in the time I blink

Please  give me  capacity to compose  devotional poems

Truly we will believe in you

Please fulfill our thoughts with all your mind (Annam)
