Vaagh vadhini varuvaaye Amma
Devi saraswathi dhayai purivaaye-Amma
Oh teller of words , please come , oh mother
Oh Goddess Saraswathi, Please show us mercy , oh mother
Vellai kalai uduthi, annathin meethu amarnthaai
Veenayai meeetti, indha vayyakam kappavale (Vaagh vadhini ..)
Wearing the knowledge , you sat on the swan
Strumming the Veena , Oh protector of the world
Veda swaroopiniye, Vidhya vaarinye
Kamalasanathu amarntha, Kalai vaani thaaye (Vaagh vadhini ..)
She who has form of Vedas,The ocean of knowledge
The mother Saraswathi who sits on lotus flower
Nadhathil iruppavale,Naan mukhan thunai neeye
Naan unnai paninthiduven,jnanathai arulidu vaa (Vaagh vadhini ..)
She who is in sound, You are the parner to four faced God
I will bow before you,Come and Bless us with knowledge
